Visiting Wells we stayed in Ashford House for 1 night. The keeper is very nice and friendly and gave nice recommandations for a look around in the little town. The house is about a 1-2 miles way off the cathedral easy to find. The rooms are very comfortable and it´s enough space for a short stay anyway. Breakfast with fresh...

We stayed in the family room at Ashford House and had a terrific weekend. We received a warm welcome from Jayne who looked after us extremely well and gave us tips on what to see and where to eat. The house is immaculate and very convenient for Wells as it’s only a 10 minute walk into the city. Wells is...

Wells is a beautiful city and Ashford House is the perfect place to stay. We received a very warm welcome from Jayne and good pointers as to what Wells had to offer. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and offered every comfort.

I don't normally write reviews, but I feel that the service, the welcome and the hospitality that you receive from Jayne is second to none. The breakfast was fantastic, lots of it and was the best we...

My mother and I stayed at Ashford House for three nights in May 2011, using Wells as a base for exploring Somerset and Avon. We could not have stayed at a nicer place. Jayne is an outstanding hostess, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. She brought us fresh milk for our tea upon our arrival; she was very...

We can definitely recommend Ashford House. The Family room is large and well laid out, even with a 4th bed in it. We all slept very well in the comfortable beds. Decor throughout is excellent and everything is spotlessly clean. Breakfasts are substantial and right on the mark, cooked fresh to your requirements, with plenty of toast, tea etc. There...
