I stayed two nights in November. Such a lovely welcoming home to be in. On the lower slopes of the Tor with a gorgeous garden I was made to feel so welcome. The Avalon bedroom was perfect, overlooking the front of the house it was full of touches that made it feel warm, cozy. The duvet on the bed made... More

On the lower slopes of the Tor, with the tower visible from the garden and some of the rooms, Melrose House is a welcoming and comfortable place to stay. The owners make sure you have everything you need, advise on places to visit or the best routes for walking and offer lifts to or from the town. Minutes from the... More

My sister and I stayed at Melrose House for this year's Beltane celebrations. As requested we were in the beautifully appointed Tor room which has a fantastic view of the lovely gardens and the Tor itself. To wake at 5am on May Day morning and see people making their way up and down the Tor in the morning mist was... More

We had the room at the back so it was quiet and peaceful even when the windows were open. Room was very big. Breakfast options were too much and we could not take advantage of all of it. The site is just the right distance from town. Wi-Fi was good.

We stayed in England for the first time and it will not be our last! The first night in the Melrose House (Avalon Rome) in Glastonbury was wonderful. Very familiar and relaxing. After our trip through South England we stayed in the Melrose House again (Tor Room) and it was a bit like coming home! Thanks very much to our... More

A beautiful, spacious and characterful guest house. Superb en-suite rooms with wonderful views from the front and access to the Tor at the back. Friendly, helpful and hard working owner. One of the best b & b's I've stayed in. Don't tell everyone though because I want there to be space to stay next time I'm in Glastonbury!

Melrose House is ideally situated for visitors to Glastonbury. The Tor is literally in the back garden and a path makes easy access to the Tor footpath. The Challice Well is a few minutes down the road and the high street is a 15 minute walk away. The room was comfortable and well furnished in a traditional style. The ensuite... More

We visit Glastonbury each month and always stay at the freestanding bungalow in the beautiful garden of Melrose House B&B, with view on the Tor. Sarah, who runs this wonderful B&B, offers a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, cereals, and full english breakfast. My favorite is the poached eggs (from her own chickens!) on toast with sausages and mushrooms. The... More
