Situated just outside Glastonbury, this guest house is the perfect antidote for those disillusioned with chain hotel accommodation. My requirement was for a low cost one night stay to allow me to visit an ageing relative nearby. A character older building with interesting history, the room was comfortable and warm with all in room facilities including WiFi that actually worked....

The welcome to Meare Manor was friendly and courteous. You immediately notice the very tired and somewhat dreary decor downstairs but the main issue is an overwhelming smell from the kitchen which permeates the whole place, like a carvery was served two days ago. Going up to our room we arrived to find the windows open, so very cold and...

Arrival was dealt with professionally albeit the room was smaller than I thought it would be. The location of the Manor is about 5 miles away from anywhere so we taxied in to Glasstonbury and we were charged £10 one way by one company and then £15 one way by another company, so can work out expensive. The owner and...

Stayed here for three nights and I highly recommend this place to anybody. Highly attentive staff, very polite and helpful. Beautiful garden at the back that is so peaceful. They have three cows at the back of the garden too with three beautiful little calf's that were cute to watch. Breakfast was to die for, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, sausages, all...

This hotel is just a short drive out of Glastonbury. There are a few parking spaces out the front. The room (Arthur 2) was clean and comfortable. The garden was tidy with plenty of places to sit. The breakfast was excellent, my husband had the full English and I had the tasty vegetarian. The staff and owners were very friendly...

We got the last room the smallest in the manor but it had a great balcony overlooking the dairy farm cows and calves so was very peaceful and not that small by European standards . Breakfast was really good too. The manor was easy to find although my Garmin said it was on the left side going away from Glastonberry...

Rooms were clean & comfortable & very spacious. We stayed in Arthur 3. Breakfast was excellent. We were treated in a friendly fashion by Gordon the proprietor. The room had a spacious bathroom but unfortunately half the complimentary shampoos, body washes & body lotions had benn used replaced in the basket & not checked & one of the tooth glasses...

I would recommend Meare Manor to anyone visiting Glastonbury. This was my second visit, the proprietors are very friendly and run a very clean, welcoming bed and breakfast with comfortable bedrooms and plenty of food at breakfast. They also have a lovely family room which has a comfortable sitting area, one queen bed and a single. Thank you for another...

My husband and I stopped off in Glastonbury on our way to Cornwall for our Honeymoon and we managed to get a late booking for Meare Manor. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and our room was beautifully decorated and homely. It's like a proper old school hotel where guests are valued and I get the feeling that had...

Rang this hotel at 4am to a welcoming response. The proprietor gave us helpful directions and a warm welcome despite the hour. Hotel was lovely. Very comfy bed. Proprietor allowed us to stay longer as we were so late arriving and tired. Could not have been more hospitable and accomodating. Will definitely come again and would recommend it to all...
