A quirky unique hotel. We came straight to the hotel from the airport after approx 30 hours of travelling. We managed to get street parking a little down the road, checked in and were informed that there was free parking at the back of the hotel. The manager could see that my husband was dead on his feet and instead...

If you like talking about laylines, crop circles and beanies then Glastonbury town is the place to go and The George and Pilgrim is right in the middle of it. It may well be the oldest permanently serving hotel in South West England but the building is really a mix of some old bits but some Victorian additions too Im...

Have had an absolutely brilliant time staying in the George & Pilgrims in Glastonbury. The Pub itself is a beautiful old Tudor inn, and the aesthetic carries through into the rooms which are wonderfully decorated. We stayed in the Abbot De Bere room, which has a wonderfully comfy four poster bed. The staff and owner where fantastic and always happy...

We had booked another guesthouse which we found to be awful and we walked out,,,,,, the ladies in the George and Pilgrim couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, and the evening meals were lovely! We spent 2 nights and it was quirky and atmospheric but what totally let it down was it's breakfast and the morning staff,,,,,,,both very disappointing!...

Our stay was interesting. The room was nice and decent for such an old building. The bathroom is lacking a bit and there was a lot of water damage on the ceilings. On our first night there the fire alarm went off at 3 am and was an apparent false alarm but no one on staff alerted us the next...

This used to be a great pub, exceptional cellarman, great range of beers making the higher than average prices more than tolerable. Now it has limited range of everyday beers and is wasting the skills of its staff. Still pricey but no longer warranted, this has become a tourist trap ripping off visitors.

We arrived and we're greeted by a chap named Dave. He welcomed us to the 15th Century inn, he immediately explained the parking and the fact that we were in a non haunted room. Excellent we replied as the haunted rooms were next door. By the way next door was a room that offered hospitality to King Henry the eighth...

We stayed three days at the George and Pilgrim hotel and we will never forget how enjoyable it has been. This is a magnificent hotel, who has kept all of its historical, mystical, and Gothic decor, being in the same time perfectly equipped of all modern comfort in the bedrooms. The food was excellent, the breakfast plentiful, and the service...

Well we booked here from a friend recommendation as they had stayed a few times before and gave it glowing reports. Well it seems we arrived on the day the hotel was taken over by new corporate owners (Mon 14th/Tue 15th Nov 16) and had a temporary manager who seemed more lost in his surroundings than we were! The first...

Booked a table for 11 people six weeks in advance. Arrived to find they had forgotten about it! Seated ourselves and had a look at the menu, waited for the waiter to take our order, no show! Apparently we had to order at the bar! I said that I would find it difficult to remember what 11 people wanted to...
