Detailed Reviews
This guest house was in an excellent location, being only a few minutes walk from the Abbey and the Baths, with the railway station only a couple of minutes away. There was no onsite car parking but a public car park was literally one minute away (sadly at a cost of £15 a day, not great but in line with the other city centre car parks).
Christina was an excellent hostess. All current covid procedures were adhered to and because of the size of the place, we had two different sittings for breakfast. We put our names against a list each evening. There were bowls of fresh fruit at each place setting plus croissants and then you had a choice from the full English menu.
Our twin room was fairly spacious with plenty of wardrobe space, a television and the usual kettle, tea and coffee. The wifi was acceptable but somewhat intermittent at times.
I would be very happy to stay here again.

A lovely guest house in an excellent position. It was easy to find and simple to book in. The single room with private bathroom was clean and comfortable, a bathrobe was provided to make it easier. Tea tray included a choice of green teas. View from the room included a loading bay, apparently it was particularly noisy on the morning I was there, but it was reasonable for a city centre.
Breakfast was an extended full English, but there were enough ways around the hotel ritual of a huge plate of fried food and stacks of carbohydrates to give an enjoyable breakfast. A fresh fruit bowl, beautifully cooked scrambled eggs and avocado slices. Breakfast slots were pre booked, 8am or 9am to reduce crowding in the dining room. Very friendly service.
The car park almost opposite wasn't very full, £15 for 24 hours and very convenient. If you are on foot the guest house will store your luggage.

Just had a lovely weekend at the Henry Guest house to celebrate my 60th birthday
It is definitely one of the better B&B’s l have ever stayed in
Christina was a fantastic host and l had a lot of communication with her before we arrived for our weekend
Answered all my questions without a problem
We had the family room which slept 4 and 2 other friends had the twin above us. Very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Plenty of hot water for four people to shower and my friends said the same about the twin room
Breakfast was lovely too. A fresh bowl of fruit every morning and if you wanted a cook breakfast too. Plenty of toast
I would recommend this B&B and it is a 5 min walk to centre of bath

This is a small but smart independent guest house, with neat furnishings, great artwork in the style of Jack Vettriano, and excellent breakfasts, which offer fresh fruit, yoghurt, croissants and full English.
Christina is a wonderful host, who really went out of her way to help with a couple of special requests, and booked us dinner at an admirable local Greek restaurant. Being able to check in from 2pm was also helpful. I can't recommend this guest house enough!

We stayed for 3 nights Friday-Sunday to visit Bath for shopping and sightseeing. The Henry is perfectly located in the heart of the city for coming and going and we'd arrived by train so really easy walking distance from the station too.
Christina was a lovely host, being available and friendly but also relaxed so we felt comfortable to come and go.
The small twin room on the top floor was accessed via a quite narrow curved staircase so maybe not suitable for all but not a problem for us. Also there was quite a noisy service yard behind our side of the house which I woke to in the mornings but, again, it's not a complaint, it's a central city location and noise is to be expected.
Breakfast was lovely, amazing buttery scrambled eggs, cooked to order, a highlight for me!
The whole house was spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated and welcoming.
(Check out the nearby Tivoli cinema for a real treat).

This is beautiful Georgian style house is so full of character that it captures the true essence of Bath.
The room I stayed in was clean the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast provided a delightful selection and the fruit was delicious. Christina really does pay attention to detail to all elements of a guests stay.
It is a stone’s throw away from the main shopping centre, the abbey and the Roman baths.
I would highly recommend this guest house to anyone looking to stay in Bath.

We chose the Henry for its location right in the heart of Bath near to a public parking (Manvers) where it was straightforward to pay with the online app. Located on a quiet street we were very satisfied. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hearty food and a fresh fruit salad every day. Beware the narrow staircase access to all rooms, and we found the pillows lumpy. If you are fit and a good sleeper neither will trouble you. Wifi connection was weak but 4G was fine.

We needed somewhere to stay not too far from the Assembly Rooms and The Henry was just what we needed. The room was comfortable and although it was not huge, there were two comfortable armchairs and plenty of mirrors and hooks and surfaces to put things on - not always found in larger establishments! The breakfast was excellent with a great choice. On this occasion we didn't have time to explore Bath so we hope to come back sometime for a longer stay and will hope to come to The Henry again. The hotel does not offer any parking and parking in the centre of Bath is very expensive. The Henry is close to the station but we used the Park & Ride. The 31 bus brought us into Milsom Street which is not too far away and it cost us nothing as parking at the P&R is free and we have bus passes.

I stayed for one night with my mother. The hostess Christina was very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was excellent with a big choice from a buffet as well as cooked breakfast not only full English but vegetarian/ vegan options.
The house is wonderfully charming. My mother found the stairs a bit steep but managed. We had 2 comfy chairs in our room so we were able to come back and sit with a tea and delicious biscuits that were provided. Location was excellent so all a very good stay.

We visited this place for the second time. Everything was amazing, there was a choice of full English breakfast, pastries and fresh fruits. My partner loved their coffe, usually he is a bit fusy with coffee. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we found the rooms very quiet during night. We will definitely go back. They always make us feel like home.
