This is our second visit to YHA Bath, The first wasn't that great because we were in the adjoining lodge however this time we were in the main building on the ground floor just by the kitchen. They had a large group of German students using the lodge and they passed our door at bedtime 10:30pm and Breakfast 7 am...

Many thanks for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your revisit to us. I'm sorry the wifi did not seem to be up to standard. We have recently changed to the Cloud, with the same coverage across the communal areas, and have had good feedback from most users.

Very basic room. Tired decor. Bed not very comfortable. Had to remove wood lice from bed. Bathroom tired and shower could have been better. Extractor fan running all night. First time using a youth hostel and the last as not good value for money

Hi Keith. Many thanks for your review. I am sorry we did not manage to meet your expectations on this occasion. We are hoping to upgrade some of our older en-suites over the next year and will be doing lots of painting jobs this winter. I hope you continue to use the YHA in future, and please do feel free...

When I got off my bus in the town centre and saw this hostel was a 1km walk away it was discouraging. Halfway into the walk I came to realize this was going to be mostly up a very steep incline as well. Carrying 30lbs on my back all I wanted to do was just get to the top. When...

A beautiful old manor, but in urgent need of repairs. Ceilings and walls peeling, and quite cold inside. The 3 staff on duty also seemed unsure of what was going on. I would suggest separating reception and the food ordering as it was too overwhelming for staff. Food was very underwhelming- only 4 options and food looked like it was...

Many thanks for leaving us feedback. I'm sorry we didn't manage to impress you on your visit to us. We were training a new team member on Reception that evening, which may have given the impression of being disorganised, but I apologise for any drop in service levels. Our menu does only have four main options, with a selection of...

Stayed here with my 5 year old son. He loved the building and gardens. Self catering facilities were great. Room and shower were small but thats what you can expect from a hostel. Wifi was good in the lounge room. It is a really nice walk down the hill to town - took us about 15 - 20 minutes, great...

Many thanks for your detailed review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We always recommend the buses for coming back up the hill (U1 or U18 from outside the Abbey or bus station), but the walk down is great for views across Bath and to Beckfords Tower.

Historic main building, well located, great staff and amenities. 7 middle aged ladies enjoyed staying in two rooms both with ensuites. It's true it is noisy especially door slamming and very loud plumbing in the annexe but it is a YHA so was really good value for money.

Premises nice. Reception staff lovely rooms bog standard. Duty manager a bully. Gave us a warning for being noisy. when asked what room was being noisy he said different room numbers to what we was in. In my opinion being victimised for being a group

The location of this youth hostel is lovely. Hid away from the noisy road, up a nice green hill. Parking is on main road. The lady at reception was lovely and even though we were early, she let us put our stuff in the room as it was already clean. We were a group of 11 so we had two...
