We booked this hotel for one night to be close to the main sights in Bath, location wise it was perfect however the hotel is very tired and worn looking, it is a shame as with a little tender loving care it could be restored to a lovely place to stay. The rooms are dated and not the cleanest, our...

I booked this hotel for me and my mum to spend the night. On getting there the receptionist was quite rude and seemed like she couldn't be bothered, we proceeded to leave our bags as we were to early to check in. On returning the receptionist had now changed and the new one was also rude. We asked if we...

On arriving the welcome was less than warm, was told that I could have a receipt in the morning. Following morning the member of staff was unable to produce a receipt and didn't even understand what I wanted !! Room was awful. Hotel very dated and smelt awful !!! Place needs shutting down !!!

We were staying in Bath for a long weekend and decided on Saturday to stay an extra night, Redcar Hotel had some vacancies and after staying the night I can see why. The staff were rude and the room was unpleasent with an uncomfortable bed. We turned up at 2pm when we were told to check in, no-one was at...

From the outset, the service seemed pretty basic but got worse as the time went on. We were placed in a room with a four poster bed but it was if they tried to disguise all the accommodation problems with the first glance of the bed. The mattress must have been as old as Bath itself! We reported it on...

Do not stay at this hotel at all. There was no warm welcome on arrival, when trying to pay the card machine didn't work and the member of staff looked at me as if it was MY fault so we paid in cash. I wish I had asked to see the room before paying as when we got to the...

The toilet didn't flush. On reporting I was told to flush it harder. On leaving I was told that no one else had complained so they wouldn't be checking it. Bedroom had large window onto roof that you could climb through - no lock on it so anyone could get in Bed lumpy and clearly in need of new mattress...

A great location, but, a terrible hotel. The room had torn curtains, worn carpet and a terribly uncomfortable bed. The bathroom was kind of gross. There appeared to be mold on a box built to hide some plumbing around the toilet. The bath tub had large chips in the porcelain. The floor in the room sloped badly and the bed...

This hotel was one of the worst I have stayed in. The room was grubby, hot and shabby. The bathroom was tiny but the shower did work. The bed was awful...old squeaky lumpy mattress that I could feel all the springs, all night. No air conditioning, although a fan was found in the wardrobe. There is no food provided...not even...

The location of this hotel in Bath is brilliant - just a few hundred metres from Pultney Bridge. The hotel itself is tired, uncomfortable, and in the last stages of transition from budget to backpacker. I could not fault the staff, but they played little role in my stay. The hot, stuffy room and aged, creaking bed were major contributors...
