This hotel was lovely. The owners were so helpful and told us everything we needed to know about where to go in Bath. The room was very well designed and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was seriously yummy and even had a "special" on the menu which I had. Our stay was made brilliant by their attention to detail and helpfulness. I...

What a fantastic experience! A very charming house. Nicely located with a parking space. Easy taxi ride (£7.50) into the city center. We stayed in the Copenhagen room and enjoyed it fully. Caring, knowledgable, and wonderfully nice hosts (Gillie & Raphael). Our kids loved every aspect of our stay as did my wife and I. Breakfast was excellent and included...

From the moment we walked into Apsley House, we felt like family. Gillie is a delightful host and showed us to our room, which was filled with many special touches. Breakfast is an absolute feast that includes cereal and fruit, as well as a cooked-to-order meal by expert chef Raphael. His full-English breakfast is delicious, and he makes truly awesome...

This hotel is a delight, a lovely period building. We stayed in the Beau room which was lovely, a four poster bed and tucked away under ground with good thick curtains so dark and quiet at night for an excellent night's sleep, and lots of lovely little touches like a lavender bag left on the bed and a teddy bear...

I should have written this review a long time ago as our stay was in December 2012, but testament to our nights stay at this charming little hotel, we are going to be staying here again this December. A gorgeous period house divided up in to an imaginative selection of bedrooms, mixed from the more contemporary, with lush modern decor...

Dear Valued Guest, Many thanks for taking the time to write such a comprehensive view of the hotel. I must admit I can take no credit for this as it was before I started, although the hotel is under the same ownership so all the same high standards are maintained and the house itself is very much as it was...

Wonderful hosts and the historic charms of the house made our stay special. Very homey touches like an honesty bar and books and magazines to read sets this accommodation apart from other boutique hotels. Really relaxing and top notch nosh - it was worth staying for brekkie alone.

This is our second visit to Apsley House and once again we were rewarded with a wonderful welcoming break! This is a 'class' small hotel! We would highly recommend a visit! The hotel is close to the city, a 5 minute drive or even better a 30 minute stroll, will bring you to the city centre !
