I've been to bath several times and love it there for a weekend away. Really wanting to stay walkable into town one thing that is difficult with that is parking if you don't want to park at cost in public car parks all the time The Arlington has onsite parking and when you can't get in as it's a small...

The hotel, (the range) room, staff and food are all to a very high standard. The wifi dropped out occasionally, it didn't hinder our stay. Other wise, nothing to complain about! This hotel is very well situated; just a road away from town centre and the walk is very pleasant due to the architecture.

Positives: Very friendly staff and lovely room. Bed very comfortable and location was quiet and convenient for town. Negatives: Missing some key '5 star' facilities. No iron in room, no do not disturb sign, awful kettle. Breakfast was good but very limited selection. Communal areas need updating. Called ahead and asked for champagne in the room and this was not...

We were upgraded by David, the manager simply because he could. The most lovely Zen suite was ours with glorious bed, bath, linens, privacy and easy garden access. David, Johnny and all the staff were so accommodating. Fire and bar in the parlor, lovely breakfast. We hated to leave.

We had a lovely one night stay at the charming Ayrlington. We walked from the train station to the Ayrlington; it's between 10-15 minutes away. A nice easy walk. The staff was very helpful with local recommendations (don't miss La Perla, a great Spanish restaurant...get the amazing goat cheese!). We stayed in the Pulteney Room. It was very nice, very...

Stayed at the Ayrlington on a groupon deal. We had a fantastic deluxe double room that was spacious and clean. Bathroom very modern with underfloor heating. The hotel is a short 10 minute walk into Bath city centre and parking is provided which is a bonus. Staff were attentive and informative. Breakfast was great, delicious cooked breakfast. Highly recommend staying...

We stayed her on the 30th December for one night and were really pleased with the location to the centre. We were able to park for free at the hotel which was a lovely surprise. The room was big and spacious and the bed was comfy. The staff were all helpful and happy. I would happily stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here after the Xmas for a one night break. We had a huge four poster bed in the Empire room and it was quite a big room with lots of character. It was freezing and unfortunately our room wasn't much warmer than the temperature outside! The radiators were on but they just didn't make much...

Just stayed here for a three nights. We had two rooms the tulip and the carnation both on the top floor so you need to be able to climb stairs. The tulip is a large room with a classic decor with a good size bathroom. The shower is slightly too low even for me at 5'6. The carnation is a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built of golden Bath stone, The Ayrlington is a large and handsome English Heritage listed building set in a splendid walled oriental garden with exceptional views of the City and its medieval Abbey. Bath's magnificent historic sites, speciality shops and excellent restaurants are all just a five minutes level stroll away. The Ayrlington's elegant and tranquil interior is a graceful blend of English and Asian antiques, artwork, fine fabrics and Egyptian cotton bedlinen - all 18 bedrooms have an individual theme and are beautifully furnished, some with four poster beds. The emphasis is on creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquility in the centre of Bath's vibrant city centre. The Ayrlington has a licensed residents' bar, secure on-site private parking and is entirely non smoking. We do not accept children under 5 years of age. The Ayrlington's ongoing commitment to quality has brought some well deserved and hard earned awards - five stars from The AA and Visit Britain, AA Premier Collection, a listing in The Good Hotel Guide and multiple Bath in Bloom garden awards. ... more   less
