The location cannot be faulted, but not all the rooms are en-suite, despite what the website says, and breakfast is only served for an hour, between 8am and 9am, no matter what. Inge, the hostess, is remarkably unfriendly and unhelpful in accommodating anyone who might want to eat outside of her rather rigid hours, and I could not begin to...

We stayed at this B & B for three nights after trying to book others with them being full and being recommended to this by another B & B owner. A quick review on site showed a good score, but I did not read the reviews in any detail - which I wish I had. We had been travelling for...

For our third visit to Bath, we opted to stay at Parkside, a fairly modest B&B located on Marlborough Lane. As a party of two couples we took two rooms, one on the second floor and one of the third. The main entry is via a door on the rather narrow driveway, where we were allowed to leave our rental...

We have just arrived home from a night at Parkside. We stayed here for convenience because we wanted visit the baths and have a night away for our anniversary without kiddies. I was pretty much the only place to stay this weekend last minute and we were nervous because of the reviews. We were happy with the house our room...

We stayed at Parkside based on Rick Steves recommendation, which from our experience was totally inaccurate. We have been on a 3 week trip around the UK and this was by far the worst B & B experience we had on our trip. The rooms are basic and the breakfast was horrible. My wife had a I were served mouldy...

I stayed here with my husband, brother and mother. My brother had stayed there before and I was glad he recommended it. Inge was wonderful - so sweet. The back garden makes for a wonderful view and the location was great. Some have mentioned parking but I wouldn't know about that because we didn't have a car. The breakfast was...

This was my third stay at the Parkside B&B, and it was as nice as the first. Inge the proprietor could not be sweeter or more attentive. I've brought my whole family to stay there and they share my opinion. Do note that the location is very near the Royal Crescent, but a descent walk through the park from downtown.

So don't believe what is in Rick Steve's book. This is not a welcoming B&B. There is no free parking you have to leave your car in a carpark overnight and pay. On arrive after ringing the doorbell many times I found the owner relaxing in a chair on the back lawn oblivious to the fact that there was a...

We really enjoyed our stay in Parkside and it offered everything we were after - it was quiet, cosy, clean, centrally located and the owner was friendly and keen to help wherever possible. Breakfast was yummy too, which is always a bonus! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Bath that doesn't...

This was one of the more modestly priced B&B's, but I was disappointed and would not recommend this place. I really question the star rating for this place. I stayed in February and the room was FREEZING! I had to sleep in clothes and put on two extra blankets just to try and be comfortable. The heat only comes on...
