A nice location and friendly staff, but we have to mention a few things. We were given the attic room, which was nice and clean but the stairs up to it are very steep! The bathroom was also very, very cramped. The shower also was very weak and twice stopped altogether! Elsewhere, alarm bells rang as dead insects greeted us...

We had a good room when we arrived and a customer parking space. Small bathroom though... otherwise close to the town center, good breakfast and with discounts for most of the museums and culturage places in town.

The location was really good! Far enough from the hustle of Bath itself, but close enough so that it wasn't any trouble getting to where we wanted to go. The room was large and comfy, and the property itself felt like a genuine country home. Breakfast was amazing and the owner, Bella, was very friendly and helpful in providing suggestions...

Recently visited the Highways House B&B with my other half. This was our first time in Bath and we initially picked this B&B as a result of the free parking, value for money and close proximity into town (without having the noise of the city centre). We were based in the annex, and felt that the room was cosy, with...

Highways house is a very pleasant place to say whilst in Bath. Our room was very nice and clean. Bathroom was also clean. The shower could use some more power but I'm be picky. The breakfast was fantastic. A great selection and all freshly prepared.

There was obviously still lots of refurbishment going on which we weren't warned about. We also had a room in the 'annex' which is a modern build add on to the back of the house rather than in the house itself which was disappointing. That said it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The extractor fan in the bathroom...

We were treated like family at Highways House. We arrived in Bath on 23-DEC. Without reservations for Christmas, Bella offered us the use of her kitchen so we could dine in. Bella and Victoria made us feel at home for our whole stay. Breakfast was nice and Vicki was able to help us identify sites to see and places to...

We spent two nights at Highways House on a Bath Xmas shopping trip. It was a it hectic on arrival as builders were on site outside. A change in management was happening during our stay. The staff were very welcoming but our room was a disappointment so we changed to another room which was fine. Apparently all the rooms are...

We picked Highways House as a last minute choice for a spontaneous weekend away in Bath. I have to say that it was not my first choice as I have stayed in other hotels in Bath previously. HOWEVER - Highways House will now be on the very top of my list of places to stay next time I come to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Highways House, built in 1874, is a 5 room (all en suite) guest house. We are ten minutes walk into the city centre (Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, etc) and the return journey is a little uphill towards the end. We are on a main bus & cab route, and well away from the city centre's noisy pubs and clubs that are so busy at weekends. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and friendliness. ... more   less
