Stayed for one night and cannot wait to return. We were greeted warmly by Terence who showed us to our room (equipped with iPod dock and champagne), all the while explaining the history of the house and the mechanics of breakfast. Room was lovely, with a large 4 poster bed and a nice, modern, clean walk in shower room, with...

Thank you very much for your lovely review and in particular the welcome you received from Terance, our Assistant Manager, who was delighted to learn of your praise. I am also grateful to you for expressing your appreciation of the individual four poster bedroom which you stayed in and I was very pleased that you enjoyed our award winning breakfast....

Great B&B. Hostess friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is superb. First day had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, second day poached eggs and bacon. All done to perfection. Garden and lounge area delightful to sit in. Room was very clean and comfortable. Nice touches to the room. Would definitely stay here again.

Sounds a little vague in my title - but that sums up our experience. Nice welcome, nice room, nice breakfast, helpful and nice staff. My only thoughts would be a bit dated - probably needs some upgrade plan put into motion. You can't rest when you run such a business, you have to constantly monitor your product to work it...

I am replying to your review as one of the owners of Bailbrook Lodge. I am pleased that you found so many nice aspects about your stay with us and regret that you feel that Bailbrook Lodge is “dated” and lacks investment. I can assure you this is not the case as we very much regard the hotel like the...

We stayed here for 2 nights in June. Shabby "chic" run-down hotel with run-down small bedrooms. Located in a lodge once belonging to a manor house. Easy parking in front of the lodge. We had the "Bennett room" with a very small narrow double bed, a small bathroom and shower. No washbasin in the bathroom but in the bedroom. Convenient...

I am replying to your review as one of the owners of Bailbrook Lodge. I was disappointed to read your review following your stay with us earlier this month. Bailbrook Lodge is a Grade II listed building which dates back to 1811 and consists of 15 bedrooms which vary in size in keeping with a building of this age. One...

My partner and I had a wonderful 2 night stay at bailbrook lodge. The room was small but lovely. It's location is a short bus ride from the centre but the journey is easy and it's in a beautiful setting with gorgeous gardens. There was a slight problem in that we were told when we checked in that breakfast was...

I am replying as one of the owners of Bailbrook Lodge. I was very disappointed to read your review, not only because you were unable to have breakfast because you arrived in the dining room after we stopped serving breakfast but also because you felt our deputy manager seemed disinterested. The manager you refer to is Terance and you will...

My friend and I stayed here on a 'wowcher' a few weeks back as we love the city of Bath and visit every year. The Bailbrook Lodge is a short bus ride from town so the location is ideal. We were very pleased to arrive to a bottle of champagne in our room, and the champagne breakfast is a nice...

Thank you for your review following your stay with us and for awarding us four stars. A great experience at this small, well run establishment. A one night stay in their Lincoln Suite, early dinner at the Brasserie Brunel, Champagne breakfast and spa voucher for 2 at the Thermae Spa was a steal! The breakfast was delicious and the very comfy/spacious bed, made for a good night's sleep. It is just 5 minutes from the centre...

I stayed here with 2 friends for a hen weekend. We went with Bailbrook because they offered a reasonable weekend package which included use of the Thermal Spa's in the city centre. We all arrived separately with the hen arriving first. She went to wait in the lounge however was told she wasn't allowed in yet. She wasn't offered a...

Functional property, friendly people, quiet and reasonably priced. Most attractive element was being a fair distance from the city centre to avoid the heavy tourism. Otherwise, not much to say.........

Stayed in the Jane Austen suite which had a comfortable 4 poster bed and a lovely view of the garden and beyond which could be enjoyed from a pair of armchairs in the window area.
