We stayed here for a special mother daughter trip for two nights. The Kennard has a great location off the "beaten path" but extremely close and convenient walking distance from all the major sights of Bath. The staff members were warm and friendly, the rooms were very clean and charming, and I believe it was a very good value for...

I spent 7 nights at The Kennard, and I'd happily go back again. The location was perfect, being on a fairly quiet road, but only 2 minutes from the centre of Bath. It's not far from the train station, so no need to worry about taking a car. It's one of few hotels that offer single rooms, making it cost-effective...

Stayed here for one night as partner had an early meeting in town. Very comfortable if quite small room. Excellent location for the city centre. Lovely decor and breakfast room was beautiful. They managed to arrange for an early breakfast for us which was appreciated. Quite pricey but everywhere in Bath is at weekends.

“People who have a problem climbing stairs would face a challenge here as there are three floors above ground level and no elevator. Even if you're in a ground floor room, you still have to go downstairs to the breakfast room. Also, those with large luggage may want to reserve one of their larger rooms. In our small double room on the 3rd floor, there was barely space to set down our modestly sized bags. ”

“Rooms facing the back might be less noisy.”
  • The cosy but tight twin room
  • The water pressure was pretty good.
  • If only there was only one tap where one could control the hot and cold water flow.
