Very much regret that I must concur with the negative reviews for this hotel. It definately does not offer what it claims. Very tired and deteriorating decor. No restaurant open. Freezing cold bathroom. All in all, not good value for money. It's no wonder why we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay when checking out/escaping.

It was a cold, wet and miserable night when we arrived. Never mind we thought a nice meal in the hotel's restaurant and then to bed (well it was our honeymoon!). No food we were told; "we have no chef!" We were told there was a chef for breakfast but that he wasn't up to cooking dinner! We were told...

My partner and I booked into this hotel after a glance of the website and facilities available, for example swimming pool, bar, restaurant and conference facilities, it seemed that this would be a reasonable hotel to stay in for a last minute trip to bath. I was expecting something larger as it was a hotel and not a guesthouse however...

This was a cheap hotel but not good, the shower was dirty and had mildew around it, there was also mould on the ceiling in the bedroom, apart from this the bedroom was clean, a nice view over Bath but the cleanliness made this disappointing! Breakfast again a let down my husband had mouldy bread! Also the two flights of...

We first got a room downstairs which had an adjoining sunroom that looked over the garden and pool. The sunroom was furnished in 70s style, but not in a funky way! The bedroom and bathroom was ok, a bit dark though, and the toilet didn't flush very well, which is a problem we have found in many English and European...

We arrived at Wentworth House and went to book in. Immediately we realised that this hotel was shabby and dirty. It advertises a restaurant and we were told that there would be no meals Saturday or Sunday as the chef couldn,t make it. Also we were told that they had only just started offering meals again after a substantial break...

Another negative review to add to the collection below I'm afraid. Reasonably attractive building from the outside, but inside the decor felt like a collision of stale Victorian furnishings and 1970's Soviet interior design. The owner had all the charm and usefulness of a nail bomb. The bedroom: asked for a double but provided with an almost apologetic looking twin,...

I have always believed that the best critic is yourself. I must admit I was worried about staying after reading so many negative reviews. However our stay was very enjoyable. On arrival the manager made us welcome and asked if we would be staying for dinner and informed us that the evening meal service had been recently re-introduced. Our room...

Often when loking for places to stay i check out the facilities first then then price and often compare if the place in my eyes is worth it. Unfortunaly the promise of wswimming pool and hot tub were not quite as they seemed when i stayed. First impression is the photos shown lead you to believe it is a hotel...

We have just returned from a midweek mini break at Wentworth House. We booked, and then read the reviews so I was very nervous driving in! My initial impression as driving in was that the house had character. When stepping inside, I felt the decor was quirky and full of character and life! The gentlemen who was looking after us...
