We booked this hotel for a charity event but because there was a horse racing event on the weekend we had booked, they cancelled our booking! They were clearly more interested in making money than helping charity! I spoke to Julie, a member of staff who was very rude, and wouldn't give us the respect of telling us by phone...

This hotel is a blast from the past! I loved it! Perfectly charming in its antiquated decor, creaky floors and wonky doorways! I've no doubt many will say it needs a re -fub but I loved it just as it is! I've stayed in far more palatial hotels but they lacked Pratts charm! The staff were very attentive and friendly,...

Dear KathyCliff, Thank you for your kind comments left for us on tripadvisor. It’s nice to hear such warm comments about our beloved building, even if it does need a bit of TLC. The staff and I love the quirkiness of the uneven floorboards, sash windows and stairs, we think that it adds to the charm of the hotel! I...

Recently visited Bath for xmas market. Hotel very close walking distance. We parked in the Manvers Car park opposite, it fills up quickly but opposite hotel. Check-in was quick and friendly. The lift very old fashioned as was the room. We had a twin room which was one big double and a single, there was also desk, comfy chair, tea/coffee/kettle,...

Firstly can I say that the staff were lovely, helpful, polite, I couldn't fault them. Also, I had breakfast, there was a good selection, it was cooked well and again staff were great. Unfortunately what they have to work with is awful. Threadbare dirty carpets, curtains that must go back to the 80's, furniture that looks like it came from...

Whilst the reception staff are all very cheerful and helpful, unfortunately our room left a lot to be desired. It was on the 2nd floor, dark, very hot and you couldn't leave the windows open for fear that the pigeons sitting on the sills outside would get in (there are notices to that effect on the windows!) and to cap...

Last minute booking. Two days midweek. The hotel itself is very old and a bit faded and tired, but quietly charming. I understand it is up for a refurb but I hope this doesn't spoil the character. The staff were very helpful, the breakfast was lovely and the situation of the hotel is perfect for a visitor who wants to...

Stayed as a couple room only. Room old, creaky but very clean and homely. Hotel very well located for town centre which is a fantastic shopping centre. Car park opposite hotel was reasonably priced for our two day stay. Staff friendly and polite.

We stayed 2 nights and whilst the hotel is in need of upgrade/modernisation, we feel that it's quirkiness is an interesting feature. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was the biggest ever!!
