We had book for a family of 4. 2 in the bedroom which was large, and 2 in the lounge. 1 to sleep on the sofa bed, and 1 on a small folding bed. Once folding bed, and sofa are opened. You can hardly move in the lounge. For a 4 star, the sheets were not white, and crisp. The valance...

I have been staying at the hotel for the last 18 months on average between 2 and 4 nights per week. I can honestly say that the staff team to name a few: the general manager Malcolm, Zoe, Vicky, Liam, Javier, David, Terri, Kirstyn, Amy and Heidi are exceptional in every way. Being a female living in hotels in the...

We stayed here for one night on a Travelzoo offer of £139 for bed and breakfast and a 5 course tasting menu. This was mentioned quite loudly on several occasions! The hotel is clearly a well used wedding venue, and is set up for this. There is the original Tudor house, a 17th century with large panelled restaurant room and...

Spent two nights here for our wedding anniversary. Very romantic and full of character. We stayed midweek in a main house suit and although a little old fashioned it made up in atmosphere. Dining was very good in the cozy restaurant and bar. Our only concern was that it might be a bit noisy when there is a wedding on....

Went with a friend for afternoon tea in January. Found the temperature to be on the cool side in the room we were allocated. The sandwiches and scones were adequate but we got what we were given rather than having a choice. The waiter was very foreign and stiff in his approach. Didn't enjoy it very much and it was...

Invited here for a party on a Saturday night so we stayed an extra night and were not disappointed. The whole building was spotless, the public rooms very atmospheric. The bedroom and as far as I could tell and the adjoining rooms were newly refurbished to a very high standard. The meal provided for our party of 18 on the...

We had a warm welcome by Malcolm and his team and were shown to our room which was very clean, just a little disappointed it was in the new section but nonetheless very comfortable with a good view over the fields. Our dinner was fantastic along with the dining room itself. The breakfast and breakfast staff were not up to...

We would highly recommend a meal here. What an absolute pleasure! Malcolm and Javier welcomed us for a 5 course taster menu (dinner) in the restaurant on Saturday evening. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The devotion and passion for the food and the ambiance is overflowing. It is rare to find this attention to detail for such...

Comfortable room but for the price probably not the best value for money. Our room was a little tired and the bathroom likewise. Breakfast was okay but again no wow factor and you would expect a little more for the money.
