Beer was good and a nice setting, no wine at all, asked for a slice of lemon in the children's water, they don't do lemon here, not fancy enough according to the barkeep, a pity, its a lovely building as well

Popped into the Kings Head on the evening of Saturday 15th with family. Being originally from Shrewsbury, I remember this pub fondly for the great selection of ales and beautiful venue, wow how things have changed. As we entered there was a band playing, not really my style of music but very good nonetheless, but it wasn't the volume of... More

I have used this public house for over 20 years and it's really gone down the pan I. The last year. No draught beers or ciders, no ice, it's more like an off license but with less choice, definitely won't go back again, Very rude big man on the door, not sure if a bouncer but definitely won't go back

We visited here for lunch today Saturday 23rd July. Wow! The food is fantastic. I had a prawn salad, my son and daughter in law had Paninis, eldest granddaughter had the steak pie and chips and younger granddaughter had chips and we had 3 bowls of chips between us. Now I don't eat chips as a rule as nobody makes... More

Called in Saturday evening, pub was packed, good range of locally brewed real ales available and friendly service. Check out the medieval paintings on the walls inside and the ancient outside look of this historical pub.

I thought I was on a film set. Both the interior & exterior are complete stereotypes for what a British Pub should portray. Inside is dark, yet inviting, & outside is perhaps the most magnificent example of a traditional Tudor architectural style. I almost expected to walk in & see Bill Sykes & Fagan, with Nancy singing "Oom-Pah-Pah." This is... More
