The rooms are modern, clean and well appointed. Road noise and bright streetlight bang outside my second floor window could be a problem to light sleepers. Layout is fascinating spanning several historic buildings, cleverly joined into one. Tip: if you're not good with steep stairs or uneven floors this hotel would not be a good choice Staff are very professional,...

Spent one night here recently. Our room was small but perfectly formed . The Bar was a nice place to hang out and we tried out a couple of gins we've not come across before . We didn't eat dinner in the hotel as it's Fine Dining and that's not really my husband's cup of tea. The menu did look...

Hotel is situated in a great location just a few minutes walk from the centre, yet quiet enough area surrounding. Well appointed & decorated throughout, and exceptionally warm everywhere. Room was clean & nicely decorated, but quite small. Although no complaints, room prices are on the high side for what you get, also free car parking is not guaranteed. Restaurant...

Lovely boutique hotel in central Shrewsbury, very welcoming attentive staff. Our room was a little small but very nice decor and immaculately clean & nice bathroom. Although we were at the front of the hotel, I'm pleased to say as this is a busy road the traffic did not worry us. We ate dinner in the restaurant which was one...

When we were first seated we were given menus with the date of the week before, when questioned the menu was the same. Starter was underwhelming with many unnecessary elements. We were surprised that the pork came with neither stuffing or apple sauce and none was available on request. Staff were unknowledgeable about the menu and unfortunately wouldn't go back.

The hotel is very tastefully decorated and has lots of period charm. Room was clean and comfortable, staff very pleasant. Breakfast and dinner were of a high quality but not perfect. We found our room much too warm and although there was nothing the hotel could do (all radiators were off) they dealt with the situation well. Location is ideal for...

We stayed here with a group of friends. Two nights of luxury. Great Rooms, Lovely Food, Delightful Staff and a central location. The Hotel is a tasteful conversion of a classic building, with a layout that has been dictated by planning restrictions. The Old Cariage Arch access to the car park is narrow enough that you breathe in as you...

Have stayed twice this year at the Lion & Pheasant and would definitely recommend. Staff always pleasant, room lovely and quite spacious for such an old building which itself is full of character. Breakfast very tasty. Excellent location close to town

Stayed for 1 night, good location close to heart of the town, car park full so parked over the road in a car park, so easy to park. On a busy road but our room quiet (number 1). Place has a good vibe, trendy downstairs bar which was still full (of over 30's types) and buzy but not really loud....
