Myself and two good friends ( all aged around the 70 mark ) came to Ludlow as part of a coach trip and basically struck gold in staying at the The Feathers. The " Excellent Rating " could, if I'm being honest , be ever so slightly generous, but the plusses far outweigh the two somewhat niggedly minuses. Let's get...

Stayed here for 3 nights. The room which is essentially in the Attic takes 6-7 fire doors to get to. I've stayed in Saunas which are cooler than this room. Its sooo hot. Windows only open slightly. And if you do open them we were blessed with the horrific sound coming from the bar opposite - until gone 1am each...

You either love ancient hotels or you hate them. I love them, provided they are well run and looked after with loving care. The Feathers does not disappoint! If you want an hermetically sealed room with level floors and ceilings, upright walls and square corners, there are several "Premier Lodge" joints in the area, out on the by-pass. If you...

Very pretty building from the outside but a different story inside. Firstly the lift was out of order meaning a very awkward journey up the historic staircase with two suitcases, then 100 yards up and down,up and down, to the room through 7 firedoors. This journey a dozen times on your stay. They could have, should have a porter! Our...

I am sorry to read that you didn't thoroughly enjoy your stay at the Feathers. Unfortunately the lift breaking down was beyond our control, it it services twice a year, but at check in you should have asked if you required assistance with your luggage, if not I do apologise and I will speak to the reception staff. I will...

My friend and I stayed in the feathers hotel it's a 17 century coaching inn. Rooms are very good, modern and nicely decorated food is also very good. Ludlow is a lovely old town with sone cobbled steeds, half timbered houses and sone really nice shops. The church is beautiful with a tower, which you can visit if you can...

I agree with other reviewer that this is a little tired around the corners however it is a lovely hotel. Uneven creaky floors, wonderful first floor lounges all add to the ambience. We had upgraded our room from the one on the secret escapes offer and it was huge with a wonderful window seat and 2 double beds. There was...

Stayed here recently. Really enjoyed it. We had a four-poster room in the old part of the hotel, it was spacious, clean and welcoming. The hotel is very old, so creaking floorboards add to the ambience! If you want a modern room, ask for one. We also had the luxury of a spa bath which was unexpected. Breakfast is excellent...

The hotel itself is old and quaint, perfect if you want abit of history. We stayed in one of the modern rooms, which was adequate for our needs for 2 nights, the room was slightly cold even with the heating on. Not much of a view we were overlooking the car park. The bathroom needs updating, the shower door was faulty as it...

Our 2nd visit to The Feathers Hotel. There's no doubt that this is a very impressive, historical building and the residents lounge and adjacent writing room are fantastic; full of character, atmosphere and history. Our superior room at the front of the hotel was ok. Very spacious but somewhat run down. Bathroom was super-hot as the radiator valve was broken...
