Dirty room, dirty bathroom, dirty mugs,so didnt even bother with the food.Went elsewhere and wont be coming back in a hurry!! Such a lovely setting but let down by the snobby staff. Never anyone to serve you in the bar you could die of thirst, unless of course youre a regular or a family member.

We stayed overnight on 15 April 2017 after a wonderful family wedding held on site. We were particularly impressed by the staff's organisation and general attitude - they were extremely professional and nothing was too much trouble. They had a marvellous can-do attitude, being approachable and on-hand at a very busy time for them with no flapping and dealing with...

We visited the Norfolk Arms for a family lunch on Easter Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The food is unpretentious and traditional, but good value, decent quality and there's something to suit everyone. There is a particularly extensive children's menu, with the options suitable for children of differing ages. It was very busy when we went in, so perhaps...

Nice pub in the peaks, good food, atmosphere and views. Allows dogs - good if you like dogs, bad if you don't. Recently redone the menu, previously had some incredible burgers on it, but they have been removed - sad times! But still good food on the menu.

Booked two months in advance for a friend's birthday party and were meant to join a large number of other guests at the hotel for pre-event drinks and breakfast. Rocked up with verification to discover that the hotel had no record of our booking and did not deal with the e-booking company (despite proudly displaying a 2017 certificate on the...

We were going to a family birthday and booked into the hotel for a couple of nights, the well known booking people messed it up,but, the lovely people at the hotel sorted it out for us. The staff are very good at this busy establishment and nothing is a problem, they are used to dealing efficiency with customers without a...

We always enjoy a visit either after a walk or for an evening socialising with friends. Super friendly staff and nice to be fussed by customers and residents. Always treats on the bar but for a real treat, ask behind the bar for a 'dog sausage'..the button on the till next to 'extra breakfast sausage'. Always cooked to mouthwatering perfection....

This place is lovely and in the middle of a lovely village, near to mountain bike trails of Lady Cannings Plantation. My husband and I visited here today after biking on the trails and we were looking forward to a good meal. I had scampi and chips but they weren't chips, they were very thick skin on wedges. My husband...

Stopped by with my parents as they were staying in the area. The place was busy on a weekday at lunch time and I can see why it's popular. The food was cheap but huge portions - I had the chicken burger and it was clearly homemade and it was massive and tasty. My only quibble with the place was...
