A warm Yorkshire welcome on a dreich day. Excellent service - we were asked at check-in if we would like fresh milk for tea and it was in the room before we reached it. Comfortable and well appointed room, although a little over-furnished. Returning after dinner to find the heating had been turned off was odd, but our request to...

We upgraded to the Peacock Suite as we wanted the luxury of a double jacuzzi & a four poster bed - we weren't disappointed. The room was steeped in history (Including the occasional authentic creaky floorboard). Massive windows with heavily embroided drapes, wooden beams, a bed that resembled something from 'Princess & the Pea'. The room was awe inspiring! Complimentary...

We went here for a birthday celebration on a Sunday evening, we were made very welcome, the menu was limited on a Sunday but excellent choice for us all. The food absolutely delicious, beuatufully presented, enough without being piled high, nice selection of fresh vegetables. Puddings very naughty but nice! Not cheap but enjoyable.

Our reservation had a last minute cancellation option. However, although we arrived early we were checked in (removing the option to cancel), which was a mistake. The reception staff wanted to pre-authorise a card as a security measure. We refused, wanting to pay ourselves for any additional services provided by the hotel over and above the b&b they had already...

We met up with friends staying at the Whitley Hall Hotel and had booked to have a meal. The Hotel itself looked rather impressive from the outside (though we did almost miss the entrance to the car park due to the lack of lighting!) and was equally as nice on the inside...with a comfy area for pre dinner drinks and...

Stayed here with my husband and son for the New Years Eve celebration dinner & disco. This was our 3rd visit to this event and it was brilliant except that it was more or less a carbon copy of previous years party.....the same menu & the same entertainment. This doesn't mean it wasn't good but for the price we paid...

I visited with friends from work. The menu was a standard Christmas one it wasn't fantastic but it was tasty and the atmosphere was fab with very helpful staff who couldn't do enough. It's a little out of the way and I couldn't get a phone signal to tell my husband I needed picking up still it stops people sitting...

Purchase Dinner Bed and Breakfast as a birthday treat for my husband. Had the most fantastic time. As parents it was important to feel like a grown-up, enjoying quite, peaceful and relaxing surroundings. The food and service was 10 out of 10. The room was clean but a little on the cool side. Over all excellent - looking forward to...

I had the misfortune to stay at this hotel on Tuesday 10th January on a DB&B deal, I was allocated room number 1, which at best you would describe as "compact" however as it was only for one night it was adequate, when the hotel was booked I was told I had £30 towards my food costs included in the...
