The afternoon tea it self was fine, the sandwiches were good and the cakes were nice but the scones were tiny and the cream was sour even though we asked for a fresh lot, so for what we paid we felt a little undersold on that. Even though I had booked a table it took 2o mins to be seated...

Oh how this place has changed. We love staying here, the rooms the food the service and not forgetting the peacocks, what has changed is the food, not half as good as it used to be. We booked a table for 7pm and came down from our room at 6.45pm into the bar area, it wasn't until 7.40pm that we...

Tucked down a country lane yet only a few minutes from the centre of Sheffield this is a great spot in the North! A fabulous building that has been kept true to the original in many ways - so there's an old manor house feel to the entire place. Great, welcoming staff and the rooms are a good size, clean,...

Around 2 weeks before the date we received an email informing us that due to a wedding event the following day that breakfast would finish early...

Myself and my husband got married here last year and it was fantastic, so we decided to book in for Sunday lunch today. We were offered drinks whilst waiting for our table and we were only waiting fifteen minutes before being taken through to our table. For starters we both had the large Yorkshire pudding with onion gravy. The gravy...

We stayed Saturday night (11th Feb) in a deluxe double room in the Parker wing and we had dinner in the restaurant. The whole experience was superb from start to finish and we could not find fault. The staff are very professional and efficient. We cannot wait to return.

Should really be three and a half stars as the place is good but could be much better if details were attended to. I may be picky but if a hotel has 2 rosettes and 4 stars it should give that experience throughout this was hit and miss. We found the staff to be excellent in all depts polite and...

The drive up to the Hotel and first impressions externally were good and it certainly didn't disappoint once I was inside. The hotel has a very homely feeling. The staff were very polite, friendly and couldn't do enough. The food was gorgeous and my room was beautiful and decorated very tastefully. The grounds outside were kept to a very high...
