Booked for 22 October, but could not stay there as it was so grim. The staff were friendly and helpful but the room was not very pleasant. Two of the lights did not work and the room was both dark and shabby. £40 for a single was not bad, but £40 for a quick look in and leaving was a... More

first time in Sheffield, and only here for the one night. I was in town to attend a gig, 'the monochrome set' who put on a great show, as ever. I was a little wary of this place having booked some time ago and seeing some quite scathing reviews having gone on since. overall I needn't have worried. the psalter... More

Just come from what used to be a really nice pub restaurant. We ordered some food half the starters where not in stock, we ordered nachos with salsa cheese and sour cream what we got was nachos with cheese and pasata it was gross. The pizzas which used to be really good where average at best and they had run... More

Room was grubby, stained carpet, broken fittings, mouldy bathroom. No cooked breakfast available. Phone line down, staff asked me how much I need to pay for room! Staff friendly but overwhelmed. Seems there's a lack of management here.

I'm not surprised they make you pay upon arrival rather than departure like other B&Bs - one look at the room and I'd have left and found somewhere else to stay had I not already parted with my money. It wasn't worth a fiver a night let alone forty quid. The room had a damp, musty smell despite the fact... More

Only £30 a night including drink, cereal and toast for breakfast. The room was very dated and smelt strongly of cigarettes. There was no doir to the bathroom and TV didnt work. However, bed was clean and comfy and had a good nights sleep. Would not return though unless it had a makeover.

We too arrived and the lady struggled to find our booking. Seems to be a theme there. She was pleasant enough. We had chosen it via booking.com based on the location to the party we were going to that evening. The first clue was the sign at the bottom of the stairs that said "no workmen boots past this point".... More

We Booked a one night stay here due to the location, as we were attending a party nearby, the rooms are tired and in serious need of updating, it was also dirty although smelt very strongly of bleach, the bathroom was clean but the room was dirty and dusty, the curtains were hanging off and covered in dust. There was... More

I would've given a three stars review to this hotel if it was what it supposed to be: a cheap hotel with all the minimums. It was way below minimum though. The first problem we had was that the door to our room couldn't be locked, so if we wanted to go out we had to leave the room unlocked... More
