My husband and I recently stayed two nights at this beautiful, quaint little cottage. It well exceeded our expectations and Allison was just such a gracious host. The location was beautiful and quiet, yet close enough to get to town. Amazing walking paths to nearby towns. It was picture perfect and although we just returned home, we are talking about...

Just back from a weekend visiting the unilad. I found Loadbrook b&b on TA and it's the best thing we have discovered so far about Sheffield and surroundings. It's an easy drive into Sheffield. Alison is the best host you can wish for. Nothing is too much, not even making sure my gluten free son is taken care of. A...

We stayed for two nights with our small dog, and we've already recommended Loadbrook Cottages to friends and family. Alison welcomed us so warmly and genuinely, and really made our stay. The house is impeccable and full of history, character and a real sense of home. The bed and sheets were crisp and clean, the shower and bath was nice...

Cottage warm and welcoming, wood burner going nicely and tea and biscuits waiting our arrival. Views from all rooms out over the hills looking beautiful with covering of snow. All spotlessly clean, comfortable beds Alison coped with our extended family chopping and changing their minds and even ran us into Stannington when we had more people than seats in cars

The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The house was well heated (-2 and snowing outside). Wood burning stove provided that extra blast of heat. Breakfast excellent and the setting was very beautiful with the added bonus of snow on the tops and brilliant sunshine . All this for £36 per night

This perfect little find did me very well when I went to a photography workshop at the nearby S6 photography studio. Alison is so friendly and couldn't have been more catering on my stay. I had a gorgeous double room all to myself. This B&B is super cosy and situated in perfect proximity to rolling hills and Sheffield centre. The...

We stayed here while visiting our daughter. It is a great location just 10 minutes drive from Sheffield. We were made very welcome during our stay. Very comfortable bed, superb bathroom and a great breakfast to finish off our visit. Will definitely return when next visiting our daughter.

Our family stayed in the self catering cottage for a week. The location is a pretty sheltered valley fringed by woodland with a variety of walks from the door. Despite the 'away from it all' feel it is a short drive to shops and the city. The rooms in the cottage are more spacious than suggested by the photos, very...

We stayed here on Friday and Saturday night to go and visit our son at uni. I actually found this b&b on TA. Like all the previous reviews state Alison is truly a great hostess. We had 2 rooms and a big bathroom to ourselves on a separate landing. Even our dog received a warm welcome! Nothing was too much...

Right in the countryside (Peak district), with horses, dogs, ducks, cat and very comfortable beds! We were given a warm welcome, advice where to find the restaurant that had been booked for our evening meal, a warming log fire in the comfy sitting room, there was no more to ask for! We were there for an HHA visit to Wentworth...

“The twin bedded room we stayed in was lovely. Decorated in a country house style. Pleasant views, quiet, well appointed, comfortable with good quality bedding, excellent bathroom facilities. What more could you possibly want?”
 of 5 bubbles AngelineH328, 6 Dec 2014 | Read review
“All the rooms are peaceful as the guest rooms are in a wing of this farmhouse which has very thick stone walls. They are fully carpeted with rugs on top so very cosy or cool according to weather outside. In the heart of the countryside but only 15 mins from Sheffield city centre or the Hope Valley in the Peak District.”
