Fancied a romantic night away over easter holidays,Booked the room with the four poster bed (room 3) very disappointing. The room looks over a car park and adjacent houses so not much to see there. All the furniture is really shabby, knocked about, scratched, past it.The romantic four poster...More
Room was appalling. Sold as a double room, clearly a single room converted. Not enough room to fit two bedside cabinets, two people could not walk around the room at the same time. The bathroom was a disgrace, you could not use the toilet in...More
We visited Cubley Hall at the weekend for a Sunday dinner. We booked in advance which was a good plan as it was quite busy with other parties booked in before and after us.
The food is well prepared and there is plenty to choose...More
We've visited a few times, some better than others. The food is pub grub at best, not restaurant quality. You can get much better messages for the same price locally. Service isn't great either and it took about 10mins just to pay by card because...More
I do not like writing bad reviews so let me first of all say that the food in the dining area was excellent. Unfortunately the good news stops there.

Hi Emma, well while we were there only the guests were using the gardens and pavilion area however it is not exclusively for the use by the wedding function as the pub has a wide patio door which anyone can use to gain access to this area. As I say we were there all day and never saw anyone else use the gardens apart from the wedding function. Most other parties appeared to be there for the pub grub which looked to be really good and popular. There is no direct entry to the gardens from the Barn so you would have to use the Car park i'm afraid. Personally if we were to get married again we would'nt hesitate in booking Cubley Hall as the hosts, the food and running of the event was was handled great. Hope this helps. Cheers Paul
