Stayed here with my wife for my birthday, just after Christmas. She had booked us a suite which was nice, but the bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress was so thin that I could squeeze it together with one hand! This was a real surprise for a Malmaison, as I have stayed repeatedly at various Mals over the years and...

I have just returned from the Malmaison Reading 6/7th Feb and I'm not impressed. The Hotel is looking very dirty and worn out. I was in a party of four and we had the 'GWR' Suite and the 'Flying Scotsman'. Both good sized rooms, very comfy beds and well appointed. However the 'Malmaison darkness' hides a lot of things. Dirty...

Can't praise this hotel enough. I am so fussy when staying away from home but this place is faultless. Fantastic receptionists, waiting staff, bar staff and not forgetting the chefs. We have been here 4 times over the last 5 months and not because we love Reading just because we love Malmaison Reading and all it has to offer. I...
