OK, this hotel has two things going for it: It has parking and is close to the town centre. If I were you though, I'd check out the Beech Hotel further up the road. Might be a couple of quid more on taxi fares, but might be well worth it. The room left a lot to be desired, one of...

Nice enough, clean and tidy. A little rough around the edges in places but you get what you pay for. Though the bathroom is modern and my room was freshly painted. Not bad if you just want somewhere to crash for a night. Staff are friendly too.

Starting with two positive comments - Hotel ideally placed to get to the centre of Reading. Also a compliment to the receptionist who tried to help out on our arrival. Negatives - After picking up room key from reception we found our room (12). Very sparse in everything. This nay sound picky but to me these things are important to...

This was a last minute booking. Location was very convenient. I must say having read previous reviews our room was absolutely fine. Bed was comfortable, room clean and shower powerful enough. Cannot comment on any of the other facilities as never used them. The staff were very pleasant despite a very late check in. Would certainly stay again if in...

Smoking designation along with ashtray right outside the front main entrance. No shampoos, just empty container. Bar was a hole in the wall Empty bottles of beer lying around through morning time. Very tired looking generally all over Right next to the Trainline which kept me awake Either the price needs to be reduced or problems resolved to reflect the...

Stayed here recently for four nights and overall an okay stay, as long as you aren't expecting the Ritz. Positives: + Located in a nice area of Reading (I used to live around here) + 20 minutes walk from the town + Staff quiet but helpful + Nice bathroom and shower, comfortable bed. + Great transport links. Bus stop outside...

Me and my friend stayed in this hotel for one night and yes it was basic, but it did the job. The young lady on the check in desk whilst not very talkative, was very helpful when needed. The room was nice and by the looks of it had not long been done up. It had a nice new bathroom...

Yes there is some truth in some of the more negative reviews but based on price you will not find a better place with a good breakfast this close to the centre of reading. Straight forward accommodation. Cannot argue with the value!

Would nor recommend this hotel. Staff were surly, the room was tiny and the whole place was tired and uncared for. Also there were several fairly threatening looking men Standing around the front door most of the times. We decided not to stay for breakfast!
