Hotel is very quirky and obviously old. I was on 3 days course at Reading University. The room was strangely configured but acceptable and I went out for a fabulous curry in a place around the corner. When I returned I had a drink at the bar - not great as it's a bit poky and uncomfortable and the wine... More

the bed and its room v small; the sheet slipped off the top of the bed and crumpled up. the taps very noisy and the door to the shower oddly was an odd concertina. i quite liked the fact that it's one of the oldest buildings in Reading in the centre of town but the rooms surround a cobbled courtyard... I usually stay at Ibis Reading, but this time decided to give this hotel a try. Oh, I was so wrong.. Hotel is old, smelly, noisy and outdated. My bed was super short and it had a "canyon" in the middle, so I was rolling there whole nigh. Shower is from 90s and I was not able to have proper... More

We have over many years stayed in Accor hotels and there has never been any we haven't really enjoyed. As Gold members we thought we might have some advantages. The room was "ok" no air conditioning, no water in the fridge, tiny bed, only one drink offered and really noisy room. We would probably been better off in a Travelodge... More

you are staying in one of the oldest buildings in Reading, an old coaching inn with a cobbled square, so no lifts and narrow corridors. Relish the history you are in and you will find that your room has a safe and all the other mod cons you would expect. Reading Town centre will be on your doorstep Enjoy

A nice historic hotel in a prime location in the middle of the town. A bit on the expensive side with parking costing extra £16.50 for 24 hours.A good comfortable room and the staff are friendly and helpful. Easy access to all parts of the town centre due to its location.I enjoyed my stay there.
