Stayed overnight on a trip to Belenheim Palace, very friendly staff and good food. We stayed with friends and although our room was a little small everything was very clean and available. Had evening meal there too which was excellent. We were told that there was no need to book as it was quiet but after returning to the hotel...

Great Welcome set the scene for a great stay. Quaint Kingsize room including a Nespresso machine !! Extensive menu that offered quality food, very reasonably priced. Our deal included breakfast that was cooked to order - what a way to start the day. The hotel is within walking distance of Blenheim. As Hotel is close to a main road, light...

Had a great lunch in relaxing surroundings. The food was excellent as was the service. Was pricey but to be honest think that was because we all (4) had a second drink. Also good news, any service charges really does go to the staff, good incentive.

We have been regulars here for some time. It was taken over by a large chain and service has massively deteriorated. We arrived for lunch. There was just one other table occupied (about 10 people). No one came to take our order so I went and asked if we could order. Told in a few minutes. 10 minutes later, they...

We arrived in Woodstock for our 2 day break early evening and we were very hungry. We took our chances on this place and we were very pleasantly surprised.we We didn't have a reservation obviously but are seated immediately even though it was relatively busy. We both had the burger and it was way more than a burger, the homemade...

Wonderful gastro pub with a mouthwatering menu. Food lived up to its promise being beautifully cooked and very tasty. Great atmosphere and service and a good yet inexpensive wine topped off a good evening. Only small downside was small cheese portions for the money (especially sad as we love cheese!) but otherwise fabulous value for money.

Went for dinner on a Saturday and it is important to book in advance if you want to go on a Saturday. This has the homely feel of a pub hotel but the restaurant is a class above the average pub restaurant. Warm atmosphere and lighting and very friendly and attentive serving staff. Although it was cold outside the restaurant...

Beautiful hotel that is decorated for calmness and relaxing. Tea pig and Nespresso in the bedrooms, comfy bed and a wonderful breakfast. The staff were great too. Cant wait to go back later in the year and make use of our Blenheim annual passport

We booked a last minute weekend away to Oxford and were really lucky with this find. We didn't know anything about the area but the village of Woodstock is lovely! We had planned to go back out into Oxford but ended up visiting many of the pubs in the area, starting with drinks in this pub. The rooms was well...

Always receive a friendly welcome and excellent food, with a good choice of menu and attentive staff. The Steak and Ale pie followed by the delicious white chocolate ice cream hit the spot. Ideal place for a function - nothing is too much trouble - and great value for money. Ideal place for a couples evening or family outing.
