We popped into The Star Inn today after a walk around Blenheim. This pub was lovely and cosy and also allowed dogs in for any animal lovers. We decided to eat and the pub got pretty busy just after noon. You can reserve tables if sitting out back. We didn't have to wait long for the food opting for the...

We had the most enjoyable two days at The Star Inn in Woodstock, England. Blenheim Palace which was fab all festooned in Christmas decorations and most interesting from a historic point of view. Highly recommended. Also visited Bletchley Park where the enigma code was solved in WW2 - and one not to ne missed.

Sumptuous prawn cocktail generously loaded with prawns, hot fresh bread and lots of butter. Capably followed by venison cooked perfectly, accompanied with red cabbage and silky smooth mashed potato. And a complaint about the pillows in my bedroom (I'm a temporary resident) brought forth soft replacements. Heaven

Lovely traditional pub with rooms - we stayed one night but would've loved to have stayed for longer!!! Gorgeous room, traditionally decorated, beautiful comfortable bed, clean bathroom with little toiletries - everything was perfect!! The breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice - and the service was attentive. The staff were really friendly and helpful - I'd love to go...

The Star is right in the centre of Woodstock with free street parking available on the streets nearby. However access to the rooms was via extremely steep, narrow spiral stairs. We had a lot of difficulty manoeuvring our suitcase up them. It would be a nightmare if you any mobility problems. We ate there in the evening and the food...

I actually found this pub restaurant through trip advisor and it really did live up to expectations. A good atmosphere, great service and lovely food. Two of our party had the pie which they said was top class, another fish & chips - also very good and I had the sea bream which was delicious. There are gourmet burgers on...

If your in Woodstock and feeling peckish pop into the Star for a bite to eat, the menu is not extensive, for me that is a clue, the food superb and if there is nothing that suits your taste I'd be very surprised. There us a good variety of beverages, beer, lager, wine, tea and coffee. The staff are extremely...

My husband and I visited Woodstock in August this year to experience Blenheim Palace and stumbled across The Star Inn for dinner - within walking distance. We were greeted with warm and welcoming staff with excellent service, a friendly atmosphere and fantastic food. We found out that they had accommodation and decided to go back later in the year and...

Booked on line so we were guided by the great reviews. We were certainly not disappointed. We received a warm welcome even though we were too early for our check in. Excellent coffee and friendly locals made our experience perfect for the afternoon. The local farmers market was reasonable and ,the produce fresh and inviting. Once checked in our room...
