I cannot fault the location. I had trouble booking direct with the owner and eventually did it via an agency. Becket House wasn't impressive from the outside; a broken window that has been taped up months if not years ago lacks kerb appeal. We had a double en-suite room. It was clean but for the money it was in very...

Following recommendation, I e-mailed to enquire about reservation later this month. As no response I telephoned the next day. Proprietor (Marie) said that she "needed 24 hours" to check availability, due to illness and possible overbookings by staff! I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but no response the next day. Sorry, but it really should not be that...

My first impression of the place was that it was a tired little B&B in a sidestreet near the railway. The decoration inside matched the outside. However... The owners were just lovely and very attentive. You cannot do better for location - both to the city and the rail. In addition, the hop on - hop off bus picks up...

I stayed three nights here because it was the cheapest single room I could find in the town centre. The room and shared facilities were shabby, but clean. The breakfast was included in my room rate; not the greatest sausages I´ve ever eaten, but the bacon was OK and they did the eggs the way I like them. Nice friendly...

The location is convenient for the town, the bus and the train station. No noise problems with the tracks. The atmosphere and furniture are what you may expect of an English B&B. It is old although maintained. The room was large enough, but the bathroom was limited in space and comfort. The decoration is modest for what you might expect...

We booked the Becket Guest House because it was the cheapest B&B that we could find, but it wasn't really that cheap and certainly not good value for money. A double room without bathroom costed us nearly £60 per/night, which is very expensive considering that you could stay in a clean, basic ensuite room at Travelodge or Premier Inn for...

My mother and I stayed here for one night. We had a room with 1 double bed and 1 twin bed and an en suite bathroom. Staff was very friendly. The room was fine. The shower is tiny, but water pressure is good. Shower gel and hand soap are provided, but bring your own shampoo and conditioner. Room was fine...

Stayed in this property while looking for a flat in Oxford for few nights. Although rooms are a bit small, the place was very tidy, the staff was very helpful and attentive. Well located close to the train station, 15 mins walk far from the center. The only con is that it is located close to the rails and might...

Becket B&B is a very convenient place in Oxford, right next to the train station, which was very convenient for us as we were taking the train from London's Paddington station to Oxford. It is also less than a five minute walk from the B&B to Oxford center so again, very convenient. The room we stayed in had one double...

I chose to stay at Becket House because it had the cheapest rates I could find in Oxford - and considering that, it did not disappoint. The standard twin room was only £52 a night, so £26 per person. The room was fairly spacious and had a generously sized washbasin, a chest of drawers with a flatscreen TV on top,...
