Perfect B & B in Oxford. Easy to find and an easy walk to town. Owners welcoming and warm. There is a cat, but for us it is a plus! Breakfast was typical and good. I was able to use the front room and the internet connection to complete some work on the morning we checked out. It is a... More

Lisa greeted us with a cup of tea, and Norman was equally welcoming. Heather House is a few minutes walk to the Oxford colleges, and restaurants are nearby. We stayed two nights and will return to Heather House to spend longer in Oxford. When we left to Heathrow airport, we caught a bus directly to the airport just a few... More

Travelling with three older kids we ended up using the family room for 4 plus an extra room and felt very pleased that we had such a good place to recover from our long haul flights. Very warm welcome and lovely rooms with comfortable beds and good showers. Plus great breakfasts to set yourself up for a day. Bus stop... More

Contours Walking Holidays picked this B&B for us for our 2 day stay in Oxford. We felt right at home here. The house is charmingly old, with the noisy pipes and thin walls to go with it, the room and bathroom were a bit small, and the window looked on a brick wall, but everything we could want was there:... We had an overnight stay at Heather House on our trek from Thames Head to London. Lisa was very welcoming and provided a pot of tea for us on arrival. Our room was very clean, well appointed and overlooked the garden. Lisa washed and dried some clothes for us which we were really in need of.

We spent 2 nights at the Heather House and our stay was an excellent one! Lisa and Norman were fantastic hosts. Our room was beautiful, very clean and overlooked their back gardens. The breakfast was good and not oversized which made us not overeat. The B & B was a pleasant 20 min walk into the centre of town. We... More

This is a well appointed b+ b very close to Oxford city centre. Lisa and Norman own the hotel and are very welcoming. It is very clean and tidy and our room was cosy on the 1st floor. Our room was ensuite, we had tea and coffee and a hairdryer. We stayed for 2 nights and our room was tidied... More

Found this Bed and Breakfast online as we had a Family Gathering to attend and needed somewhere for two nights near to the City Centre. Easy to book online and liked the website. We were welcomed by the Owners on arrival and shown to our room (room 3). The room was very comfortable (double room with en suite bathroom) and... More

Tidy and warm homely feel 5 minutes drive away from the busy Oxford city centre. Lovely guest family, recently refurbished facilities, hearty full English breakfast and car park. Be sure to check out the famous steak platter at The Chester, walking distance from the house.

Accomodation can be difficult in Oxford, I've stayed in plush hotels and ended up in slums masquerading as a B&B, Heather House is definately my favorite place to stay. Close to the Cowley Road which was my old stomping ground in the 80's it caters for my odd eating habits in the morning without raising an eyebrow. Heather House is... More
