Stayed here for two nights with a large group, sharing a twin room with my boyfriend. Our room was large, clean and comfortable, with a TV and a spacious en-suite bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The common facilities such as the lounge are also lovely, I'm assuming they have been recently decorated. Breakfast was ok,...

Great location - amazing for the station! The entrance hall is spacious, with quite a few people sitting around using the services, it looked great, though we did not use it. The room was brilliant, 6 bunks (4 of my party ditched on me, so we chose whichever we wanted!) and a private bathroom. Only complaint with that is that...

Thank you very much for your review - it's great to hear that you were happy with your room and enjoyed your stay. I'll give the staff a reminder about directions to rooms - the same thing happened to me in a hotel on a recent trip, so I know how frustrating it is. I'll also shut myself in the...

Shocking experience - never in my life have I endured such hell, and paid for it. I booked via last minute.com and was charged £35 for 1 night's stay. I indicated I would pay in cash when I arrived, I also indicated on my booking form that I was disabled and had severe mobility problems so could not manage stairs,...

We're very sorry to see that you were so disappointed with your visit to YHA Oxford. As the notes with your booking stated that you would 'prefer' a ground floor room or lift access we didn't realise how important this was to you. I would implore anyone to please contact us directly to book specific rooms so that we can...

I did not put high expectation on the room as I only paid £12 for a bed. It turns out to be good, for me. Comfortable to sleep, not too crowded and the separate toilet and bathroom is deeply appreciated.

We are a group of 5 students staying here for one night, booked a 6 mixed bedroom dorm with private bathroom. The room is clean and also really spacious for three bunk beds to fit in there. The location of this hostel is not in the city centre, but its not quite far around 10 minutes walking distance, so we...

This is basically a back packers Hostel. It is right next to train station and with good bus and taxi service into centre of town 7-8 minutes away. They have plenty of space in lounge , two TVs, self catering kitchen with plenty of equipment and a self service laundry. The staff is excellent. It is value for money. If...

I stayed here quite a lot whilst looking for more permanent accommodation in Oxford. The hostel itself is adequate. Can't really say more than that. The staff are all lovely, but the place itself a bit spartan, and it's particularly annoying that wifi is only available in the main foyer (and only available to members at that); surely this could...

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review and for the positive feedback about the hostel and our staff. I am sorry for any discomfort you felt whilst staying in the shared dormitory, but am pleased to hear that staff did their best to make your stay more comfortable. Facilities were nice and the staff very helpful. Was easy to get access to the shopping area and to the center of the town within the walking distance. One draw is the place is next to busy train station.

The staff are very friendly, and caring. Remembered me from some months ago. And nice that the hostel is by the railway station, as it was easy to get to. And a good stopping place, between places. Top spot

We stayed here for a night at the weekend. It is seriously close to the train station literally next to it and from our room you can see the train station. It's also within a stone's throw to the city centre,Oxford castle and other attractions. Shops and bus connections nearby too and have generally clean and tidy rooms. Make sure...
