My husband and I stayed here for two nights whilst visiting friends. We arrived late but were sent an email explaining how to gain entry when reception was closed. We got to our room without any fuss. The room itself was quite small but we had booked a small double. Although compact it was clean, nicely decorated and had all...

We booked a room in Burlington House for a nice night out in Oxford. We arrived around noon and were able to get immediately to the room. A very friendly young man told us everything we needed to know. The room itself was surprisingly spacious, quite unusual for a residential house that was changed into a hotel. The bathroom, however,...

I cant go into detail but we had to cancel our initial booking because of my other halfs medical condition which had us both stressing.. Will the hotel management respond to our change of plan?? Well yes they did and what a lovely attitude they had on the phone.. The welcome by Ness, one of the owners, summed up what...

We booked one night stay this weekend and found we had the guest room in the quiet courtyard. Lovely decor and the hotel is in a lovely quiet location. We got the no 2 bus to and from town which is easier than driving . We had a lovely meal at X'ian Cantonese nearby which was recommended and booked by...

A lovely little cosy hotel which is in a perfect location (10 min on the bus or 40min walk down the road from the centre of Oxford). We left the car at the hotel and used the no. 2 bus to and from the centre. Room was a good size, well appointed and very quiet. Owner was very friendly and...

Superb service and attention. Brilliant B and B. Really modern. Clean. Friendly. Great shower. Comfy bed. Andy was a great front of house - couldn't do enough. I stay in lots of hotels, usually go to premier inn etc as know what to expect but this was superb.

Wonderful experience when I stayed with a colleague for a business trip. Interior furnished to a high level yet feels intimate, and far from 'standardised'. Excellent customer service, and enthusiastically catered to a vegan diet at breakfast (mushrooms on toast and soya milk). The power shower in the bathroom was divine, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The only tiny...

Attempted to make a reservation and ask questions about the hotel to the male receptionist who referred to me as 'my friend' however he kept hanging up then rejected third and final call. After five years of experience in hospitality I have never come across more unprofessional behaviour. Hardly a glowing endorsement for the hotel.

Spent 3 nights here. Rooms very clean, staff accommodating and breakfast hot and tasty. Great locally sourced sausages. On main road into oxford town centre a short 10 minute bus ride away.Restaurants (various) and sainsburys within a 5 minute walk. Ample off street parking a bonus.

Stayed for one night - clean, good service, comfortable beds. A good choice. The breakfast was excellent with hot and cold options - all beautifully presented. The staff are attentive and friendly. Access to Oxford is 5-10 mins via a bus a minute's walk from the hotel. Better service than the taxi we used. All in all highly recommended.
