In a quiet residential area, only 10 min. walk from the city centre. Breakfast/restaurant on one side of the street, rooms on the other. Not your standard hotel layout but perfectly adequate for a couple of nights for business. Rooms were clean and tidy. Would come back.

All Oxford hotels are overpriced, but this does not deliver the value you would expect from a supposedly 4 star hotel. It's more like a well decorated guest house. Our main observation was a lack of management: the staff were young, and did not appear to know what was going on much of the time, although they tried to be...

Have just stayed at Ethos Hotel for 1 night,You book in across the road at the Ethos cafe. The room we had was number 4, you have to walk aong the road not even going into the hotel, to get to the room, The room was cold, we put the heater on, but this didn't heat the room very quickly.There...

The room itself was serviceable with all the necessary amenities but I must say. What utterly abysmal customer service, having specifically requested a late check out over the phone multiple times for a work colleague who was staying in Oxford, I was not only woken up repeatedly from 10am to midday but also charged an extra 40 pounds for not...

This hotel was everything that we needed- a large, comfy room close to the centre of Oxford. With parking if you book. We were checked in over the road in the cafe by a very friendly gentleman and were given a drink on the house before heading to our room. Pizzas in the cafe smelt great! Would recommend staying here.

Stayed for one night with my husband. We were very disappointed as, first of all, we were expecting a hotel, and this place is a cafe/bar with bedrooms. I don't know how it was rated four stars, but it does not compare favourably to any four-star accommodation I have stayed in previously. The online representation of Ethos Hotel is extremely...

My boyfriend and I visited Oxford for a night and stayed at the Ethos Hotel. It is around a 20 minute walk to the centre but this wasn't a problem for us. The check in was very easy in the Cafe across the street, we were early so they allowed us to leave our bags. The room itself was nice...

My room was cold. There was no telephone, no desk, no booklet with information about the wifi or how to work the complex television etc, no milk for tea and coffee. I will certainly not stay here again and would never recommend it. The only good thing going for it was the fantastic young woman who checked me in and...

My wife and i went to cafe ethos on a voucher and enjoyed great pizzas with fantastic service. We intend to come back soon. The hotel side looks very good for the budget traveller and if the breakfast is as good as the pizzas then that would be a bonus.

Stayed here after we accidentally forgot to book any hotel in Oxford. The staff were accommodating and kept the kitchen open for us to make a delicious stonebaked pizza. Great room, great service, and one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in. 10/10 would visit again.
