Stag Hall is a beautiful retreat surrounded by a fairy-tale wild wood, a very special place. It is discreetly furnished with antiques, not fussy - just tasteful and practical. Every painting or drawing is original and interesting, put there with taste and flair rather than show. You will know you are in a much-loved home rather than a faceless hotel.... More

Stayed one night with my partner. Was given the loft room which was spacious and very comfortable, but the very narrow staircase would be a problem if you had mobility issues! Full of character and charm, with a lovely breakfast served at a communal dining table with other guests. It is surrounded by trees, is utterly peaceful and you are... More

A lovely house in a beautiful village and a very nice room. However it was more of a Guest House than a B&B. The welcome was not particularly warm or inviting but the room was very nice and the whole house was very clean. Breakfast is around a table with other guests and the cooked breakfast left allot to be... More

What a find! Ideal for our weekend break incorporating a family christening. We, i.e. Granny and Grandad, had the twin room in the main house while our daughter with husband and two little ones ( a 3 yr old and a 9 month old ) had the family "room". This family room turned out to be a large sitting area,... More

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Stag Hall. Lovely warm welcome. Clean, comfortable, spacious accommodation. En-suite with hot shower. Delicious breakfast with fresh blueberries, yogurt, muesli, full English, etc. Stayed in the attic room - no problem getting up stairs or with traffic noise. Skylight view onto ancient woodland trees. Woke to birdsong. Thank you so much.... More

We were in the area for a wedding at the Crooked Billet and Stag Hall was very highly recommended to us. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and were immediately greeted by the owners, shown to our rooms (more like a private apartment with a lounge, bedroom and bathroom) and offered a cup of tea. We had a wonderful night's sleep... More

Difficult to find this place (especially at night), as it's in the middle of a forest. Thought this would mean it would be quiet, but small road that goes past B&B very busy and noisy - all day and night, so that kept me awake. Apart from traffic noise, room itself was good - large, with very large bathroom and... More

We spent 3 nights here in August and had a wonderful experience. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The quality and choice for breakfast was amazing. We would definately recommend Stag Hall to anyone who love a peaceful site close to Henley on Thames.

We stayed at stag hall after doing 105 miles cycle ride which took a bit longer than we expected and when we got to stag hall we were all really hungry and absolutely shattered, and even though it was late they made us some food which was very kind of them and we eat the lot, the house is really... The loft room is wonderful and the setting is extremely peaceful. Breakfast was delicious, so much choice. Definitely recommend staying here. Perfect place to stay if you are going for dinner at the Crooked Billet, like we did.
