We've travelled to the Cotswolds for many of our holidays - we really love the whole area. We would normally rent a cottage, but decided to do something a little different for our most recent visit - stay in a few of the lovely pubs dotted throughout the Cotswolds. We had visited The Falkland Arms in Great Tew once before...

What a wonderful place and fabulous 24 hours. Spent just one night here which was by no means long enough. Imagine a 16th century building servicing 21st century travellers and servicing them well and you have The Falkland Arms. Bar service plus plus, dinner wonderful and accommodation superb - particularly commodious for the 21st century traveller. Breakfast omelette the icing...

Old, charming, loads of different beers. Food isn't great. I would go just for drinks and you will enjoy the beauty of the village and its quirks. The service is good though! It's warm in winter and cool in the summer. It's worth a visit particularly if you are staying at nearby Soho Farm House.

Amazing village pub with a fab log fire, great atmosphere and excellent service! A must visit location if you are in Great Tew. If you want to experience village life at its best then the Falkland Arms is well worth spending an evening in. Highly recommended!

You cannot fault this pub for it's ambience. It is everything you want in a pub for a quick pint or glass of wine. We were greeted efficiently by the bar maid, though would not describe our welcome as friendly at all. The room we had was lovely and clean, though the two spiral staircases made it impossible for us...

We have stayed at the Falkland Arms many times over the years, it has always been a special place for us, a hidden gem. This time however we were very disappointed. I believe the pub is under new management and it's plain to see standards have dropped and this wonderful old pub is looking tired and shabby. Our room needed...

My husband and I stayed at the Falkland Arms, 25th April and had a wonderful evening. The staff are all very welcoming, the room was lovely and quant, and the food in the restaurant was excellent. The inn is set in a quant little village, and perhaps I should not give it such a glowing report as everyone will ant...
