My girlfriend and I took a weekend away here , set in a very beautiful little village which is perfect for some peace and quiet. The hotel itself is really nice lovely bar and very comfy clean rooms !

What a wonderful gem of a pub: great service; fabulous location; unbelievablely good, reasonably priced food. The ensuite bedrooms were comfortable and clean too, with plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate sachets. However, it must be said that the ensuite bathroom is very small. A great place to stay: we will be back!

Excellent location good food and choice of beers, quirky rooms which would possibly restrict some large people and a spiral staircase which could be challenging although we were ok with it. The floorboards all creaked just as a building of this age and character should do Overall an enjoyable stay

We stayed on a Friday night and the overall rating is a result of some things good and some things not so good so I could not quite bring myself to rate it very good. From other reviews it would seem almost a Marmite establishment as it seems either greatly loved or hated so I am a rare in betweener....

This is easily the worst place we have ever stayed in. It is unbelievably NOISY. The bedrooms & bathrooms are FILTHY. The 'owners' are deeply unpleasant & unhelpful. Staying here was an extraordinarily horrible experience & one which nearly ruined our visit to Oxfordshire. We wouldn't dream of eating here having had such a horrible 'reception' from the 'owners'. Excellent staff. Very pretty and beautiful location. Good food. Bed could do with improvement (size and quality of mattress). Proper old local pub with friendly local people that like a drink and dogs sat by the your feet. We loved it!!

The village of Great Tew is simply beautiful, and the Falklands Arms drips history and character, with exposed beams, wonky staircases and creaky doors - very atmospheric. The lady who was in charge was lovely and very helpful, but there seemed to be a shortage of staff so that our rooms weren't serviced and the chef seemed to be stretched...

You really must experience this pub, whether it's to stay or just for a drink. Always welcoming and just full of character and characters 😀I've stayed several times and never been disappointed. Good range of beers, wines and lagers and excellent food.

My Fiancée and I wanted a relaxing break and The Falkland Arms was perfect! Such a beautiful, characterful building, our room was lovely, comfy and well equipped (real coffee and cafetierre) . We ate in all 3 nights and every meal was excellent - the BEST Sunday roast ever!. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Having read reviews on here before...

What a fantastic old building. A great location to stay in the Cotswolds. I can't fault the service or food, staff were very welcoming and i though the prices were reasonable for the area. Highly recommended.
