We were only in Burford for one night and The Highway Inn was recommended by a lady in a local shop. I popped on to see if they had a table but they said they were having issues with the kitchen and they would call me in half an hour. Half an hour passed and true to their word they...

We stayed here in November for three nights. This was VERY GOOD value for money. The hotel food I'd good, also the beer and wine. This is a 'red entry' (very good) in The Good Pub Guide. Excellently placed for walking in the surrounding countryside, also for touring the Cotswolds. Burford has other good pubs and eating places, all easily...

This is a warm friendly inn with oodles of authentic local character, and a michelin recommended restaurant- the food here is amazing! Rooms are warm, cozy and sufficiently large, bathroom is well stocked. A good place to keep as your base for a stay in the cotswalds.

We stayed at The Highway Inn for 2 nights at the end of November. It's a lovely hotel with a friendly and warm atmosphere. Our room was warm, clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. We really appreciated the sherry which was complimentary. We ate on both nights because it was so cold and we didn't want to go out but we...

We were so fortunate to have stumbled across this 15th century inn on Burford's busy main shopping street for a late dinner. Classic pub dinner fare included rack of ribs and lamb shank entrees--both absolutely delicious! Service was outstanding!

A lovely village. The Highway Inn was small but lovely. Stayed in The Burford room which was spacious, lovely comfy mattress and super hot water (and plenty of it) for a bath. Enjoyed an evening meal where the steak was cooked perfect. Would definitely recommend.

Originally built in 1480, staying in this Cotswolds’ Inn gives you a great experience of what a full service guesthouse can be. The friendly staff was very helpful. The food and pub was atmospheric and very good. Dinner just down the street at the Golden Pleasant and Spice Lounge was also very good. Burford We stayed in the attractive village...

Took a wrong turning on our way to Thornbury and arrived in Burford by accident. It is a beautiful old Cotswold village so we decided to stop by for lunch on our return journey the following day and we are so glad we did! Did bit of sightseeing then shopping and most buildings are beautiful with many being 15th or...

We are delighted you took a wrong turn so ended up visiting us. I agree, beside the open fire is a great place to sit this time of year and hard to leave. Hopefully next visit you will have more time to spend in the Highway, maybe staying in one of our rooms. I will have to keep an eye...
