Food is beautifully cooked and presented. Homemade made leek soup was piping hot just as it should be and bread was warm too. Excellent roast beef pink perfect It was a busy full restaurant but staff were happy and helpful and served every course efficiently Good value for money as three courses were only £21.95

We stayed for one night in the Boot Room, located at the front of the Inn, the room was compact and bijoux and very comfortable. We arrived by lunchtime, as we planned to have lunch and a few drinks before check in. However not a very warm welcome on arrival, other than 'your room definitely won't be ready before 3...

Visited recently with friends for Sunday lunch, good value typical Sunday lunch, duck salad, soup and fish cakes for starters, Roast beef for mains, pannacotta and apple crumble for desserts, with drinks the bill came to £116 for 4, very reasonable with efficient and friendly service. Would recommend.

Visited with family the food was amazing as was the service. Bit slow to provide drinks at the bar but I think this was because they were pretty busy. Definitely recommend & would go back in a flash! 👍🏼

I stayed at the Maytime Inn with my fiancé for her 30th Birthday 3 days ago. Having done some research online to find a hidden gem. And we had found one, the Maytime was tucked away in a quiet village, offering a modern but country feel. The rooms were modern and clean, making you feel cosy. Perfect for a couples...

We stayed at the Maytime for a couple of nights and had a relaxing stay with great food (including lovely freshly cooked breakfasts) and an enjoyable evening sampling the extensive gin selection. The inn has a friendly atmosphere, the staff are attentive without being fussy and Alfie the spaniel brightens up anyone's day! The rooms are clean and comfortable although...

After our son recommending the Maytime we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary here. The food and service was excellent. Met Alfie at the end of service, and we loved his name so much we named our now seven month old working cocker Alfie.

Recently spent one night at The Maytime in the Hunter's Room. Loved everything-the decor, the big comfy bed and the great couples sized bath in this room. Our stay couldn't have been more pleasant- we had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious. Andy was friendly and very helpful recommending from the extensive gin menu. Breakfast the next day was...
