I don't write many reviews but the Angel deserves one. Stayed last night whilst in the area for a wedding. Arrived at lunchtime to a friendly welcome. Had a lovely pre-wedding pint and lunch in the beer garden. Room was excellent - big, clean, recently refurbished, good bed- everything you could want from a pub with rooms. Breakfast was included...

This was our second visit to The Angel for lunch and once again it was first class. The menu was varied with a number of dishes on the blackboard. The roast lamb was particularly good and the servings were generous and beautifully hot. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming with a real pub feel and although there is a restaurant...

Had Lunch here with a friend, very welcoming, nice atmosphere and attentive service. Beer was good and lunch was very nice. Definitely be going back. Lovely that it's dog friendly too and I'll be back with my hairy baby. Clean and decorated very nicely a country pub with restaurant quality food. Could accommodate my gluten free diet very well.

Located in the charming village of Burford, this pub and B&B provided a very pleasant 2-night stay. The room was very comortable, the host friendly, and the food at the pub provided a good close for the day. All of this was very reasonably priced. We'll certainly come back if we're in the area.

We visited Burford for the night and were walking around looking for a pet friendly place to eat. We sat out the beautiful garden area. Lots of space, lovely and relaxing. We had a lovely lunch, could not fault it. Lovely owners! Will be back!

My wife and I booked in for Sunday lunch. We found the pub nestled away in the beautiful streets of Burford. It's a relatively small pub/restaurant, but was very welcoming and had a warming fire going. We were glad we booked as they were turning people away who hadn't booked in advance. We were greeted at the bar by the...

We visited The Angel for the second time on Monday night with a Travelzoo deal. On this occasion we took my sister & her husband.
