Stayed with some friends for a birthday weekend and can't say enough about the place The staff were incredibly accommodating the service excellent and the food top notch Definitely go there again There is a free car park down the road which helps. We had lunch on Saturday in front of the fire and an excellent dinner in the restaurant....

Lovely Cotswold gastropub. We sampled some local G&T's which were fabulous before enjoying some wonderful food. As a pescatarian the menu was extensive the food was truly lively as was the service. I would highly recommend.

Avoiding the more obvious tourist traps on the main street, I popped in here for a light lunch, and was impressed. It's a cosy pub with a wood stove going, good-looking beer (I was driving) and engaging staff. I only had a Scotch egg, but it was a very good one, and the rest of my family also seemed happy...

This place is perfect. In a quiet side street but only seconds from the 'high street' with all the restaurants and pubs. Our room was beautiful with a lovely en-suite and a large double bed. The pub is quaint and charming, with a fire in one corner and a sofa area upstairs. The staff are a delight, we had a...

We were looking for somewhere for lunch and thankfully found the Angel. A cosy, dog friendly pub with a really good menu. So good we decided to go for more than a sandwich though these looked great too. My husband had a crispy belly pork dish and I had the fish and chips and everything was delicious. We were then...

Roaring fire, comfortable chairs , real ale and a lovely cup of coffee. What more do you need after a days shopping? This is a lovely pub just off the main street. Lots of character and charm. Well worth a visit.

Visited for lunch midweek without a booking and was instantly impressed with the cosiness of the place as soon as we walked in. The Christmas decorations were classy and the roaring log fire added to the ambience. My partner and I had their speciality sandwiches which were both excellent. Service was great, couldn't fault the place. Don't be fooled by...

We spent the week end in Burford and asked a local resident where to eat. He pointed us in the direction of The Angel. What a find. The pub is comfortable with a log fire. From the booking of the table to the time we left the staff, food and service was excellent. Nothing too much trouble. The atmosphere was...

We booked very last minute and got a really good price The room was lovely and the decor suited the age of the building Lovely bathroom, soft carpet, amazing window seat and a massive double/king size bed. Not your average hotel room at all The walls are quite thin though so you could hear the room next door in the...
