I found this Hotel by chance as it was right beside the main train station. I knew by looking at it that it would not be great but I just needed somewhere to put my head down for the night. I checked in which was fine and helpful. The room was terrible I could feel the springs in the matress...

One look at the carpet in this hotel and you feel like walking straight back out of the door...however, for what you pay you do get a reasonably comfortable bed and a nice cooked breakfast in the morning. It's a shame about the musky smell but its in a perfect central location and not too bad for one night.

There's a lot of people who don't like old hotels, those who want a corporate soul-less hermetically-sealed quality-assured type of thing. The Gresham is different, a time capsule with bags of vintage charm, historic features, faded grandeur even. I liked it, for a few reasons. Yes, it's a cheap hotel, which is no bad thing in a recession-hit era, and...

The location was good, the hotel could of been so good years ago with the locality of the train station but now it's dilapidated and full of inept staff. When I rang reception to confirm booking the answer was 'Hello' and so I had to ask whether it was the Gresham Hotel. The girl receptionist looked like something off Jeremy Kyle with her...

Excellent service clean rooms, great décor, i live in a barn usually, so this was a great experience.

OMG, I have never seen anything like it, 1st off the hotel smells really bad and moldy, other than my room which had been masked with ..umm 10 years worth of shake and vac! Not that you'd think they'd hoovered. The carpet tiles (yes ... carpet tiles!) in the room were moldy and not even joined together properly. The sink,...

After an experience at the Gresham, I left with an overwhelmingly puzzling question in my mind. What on Gods earth are the obviously inept people at the Nottingham Tourist Board doing to their wonderful city? Because as soon as you step out of the quaint train station you are met with the relieving sight of local and available accommodation. Like...

The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location situated on a main road 2 min walk away from the train station.i was travelling with one other friend to meet another local friend, i made the fatal mistake of not visiting trip advisor web site before booking this hotel for reviews. upon entering the hotel you are...

We arrived after struggling to park the car (£8.00) we had to squeeze past a cycle lock and walk up a ginnel with cigarette stubbs, supermarket trolleys and refuse to a sticky carpet stairway. The reception was grimmy and the room was worse! It had a chubb lock holding the door closed, the window was cracked, the lace curtains were...

This hotel has nothing going for it. The place is falling apart and dirty. Someone in our party also had items go missing from their room. The only thing that was slighty positive was the breakfast which was ok. But I would definately avoid this hotel!
