Room was located away from the main road so no traffic noise as others have described. Everything was extremely clean as expected and comfortable. Room was a decent size for single occupancy. Unfortunately there were no breakfast facilities due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Usual cleanliness of a Premier Inn. Fairly noisy traffic, although there was an extra glazing panel. Wi-fi pretty hopeless. Logging in via the TV worked but unable to even download emails. My particular room had a very sloping ceiling in one side of the bed. Would have been a problem if there had been someone else with me.
Price - Reasonable, No breakfast included. However, thumbs up for a wide parking space, which is good for business travel. Hygiene and Cleanliness - Out of 5, I’ll rate it 3/5 due to some dust on the clothes hanger and on the fan. I find it challenging to ask for the collection of the trash for someone who stay a week and working at daytime. If you let it uncollected, good luck on the room’s smell. Water pressure - Superb! Restaurant/pub - I relied on deliveroo, as there’s no available nearby open resto/pub during my stay. There’s a bento machine near the lift. Location - it’s near Aldi and Lidl. The church in-front of the hotel will give you a relaxing view, particularly at night. But if you want to be isolated, then request for rooms at the back of the hotel which will gives you a view of trees and parking lot of the neighbourhoods. Rooms - standard room, I can’t complaint with the space for it’s price. Personally, I find it spacious, it satisfied my needs of space to do work. However, if you are a noise sensitive, you may want to consider requesting a room on the 2nd floor. It pissed me off to hear the footsteps on the upper floor, the room has no soundproof. You can hear the housekeeping vacuum machines, noise from the glasses, the door banging. But the staff were all nice, can’t complaint. avoid the rooms nearby the elevator/lift and stairs as this will give you headache every time you hear the noise of the door and it will for sure wakes you up. Rooms such as 101 and 102. 16 April 2021, we we’re evacuated in the middle of a freezing night, due to the fire alarm. It was immediately resolved after atleast 15 to 20mins. There’s one event that on a single day, the fire alarm chirp/beep/sound twice, yes twice haha! And again it happened in the middle of my sleep, lucky ha! Room Temperature - if you feel cold, heater is available. If you feel hot, electric fan is also available. Staff - I can’t complaint, all friendly and accommodating. Keep it up! Bed and pillows - Superb! Wifi - for business traveller, better use ur own mobile data/network instead of relying on the free wifi.…
rooms are lovely, unfortunately smokers smoke in the rooms, they think if they smoke in the bathroom with the fan on it takes the smoke away, but it sent it into my bathroom. fire alarm sounded twice hotel had to be evacuated through the night due to people smoking.
Hotel corridors smelt like cannabis. Very hot rooms, duvets too thick and no air con. Hotel staff were very nice and accommodating though. Not the best Premier Inn i’ve stayed in, seems to be more catered to vagrants (for covid) and tradesmen.
