We stayed in the Romantic Medieval for just two nights. It was nicely decorated, clean, toasty warm and well-equipped, but had hardly any natural light which we found a bit disconcerting. Also quite expensive, but I think this a common issue in the dark skies area. We would stay there again, but perhaps in another apartment.

Absolutely loved it here! was such a romantic weekend away and well worth the money. Staff were so helpful to cater to any needs! will definitely be back. Phone signal is a little poor but what do you expect when you are out in the country - shops and pubs next town along about 15 minute drive.

Location and decoration lovely. Is it 5*.... No! Arrived to a leak from apartment above, sent an email immediately and received no response until hours after we had our welcome meeting.... They just gave us more towels to mop it up! So communication terrible! And the room we were in was so noisy from footsteps and voices above, creaky floorboards...

Stayed in the 'romantic medieval' room for one night last night, and it was beautiful. Amazing little space with kitchen, wood burner and lovely mezzanine bedroom. Very handy if you're planning on going to the observatory (that's what we went up for, unfortunately the event was cancelled, but the stay was still lovely).

We stayed in the Versace Glamour apartment for one night while visiting Kielder's Winter Wonderland. The apartment was huge and the décor and facilities were first class. We have very high standards when it comes to cleanliness, and I'm happy to report that the whole place was absolutely spotless; in fact the oven was actually gleaming. We'd honestly recommend this...

We spent a couple of nights in the French apartment on the ground floor which was spacious and comfortable for the two of us. The main bedroom had a comfortable bed and good size en-suite, although there was little space to hang clothes. The living space was bright and airy with large windows that overlook a court yard and there...

We had two days here while visiting the Kielder Observatory. The location is good - just twenty minutes by car to the Observatory, and well placed for other local attractions and pubs. The attention to detail is wonderful: Tea and real coffee much appreciated. We stayed in Versace Glamour where everything is designed and provided with such a good eye...

Very clean, comfortable and opulent in terms of décor and fabulous bathrooms with no expense spared. Great location for Kielder forest and water, the Lakeside Way and the Observatory all within easy reach, and walking distance of a good pub for food, The Pheasant Inn, and the village tea rooms for a great breakfast. However a few silly things let...

My wife and I stayed at Falstone Barnes (AKA Posh Huts), Falstone, Northumberland for two nights (September 16th and 17th) and enjoyed our stay immensely. We stayed in one of the huts which was very clean and well equipped to meet our needs; in fact, other than food and drinks we didn’t need anything. Within walking distance there are two...
