The staff at the Walnut Tree are an great group of people. The reception, bar and restaurant staff were all friendly and efficient but outstanding service came from the morning cleaners , who because of a staffing problem made us a wonderful breakfast and showed considerable sensitivity when they realised we were staying in Northampton for a funeral. Thank you...

Having arranged some work in Northampton, I made a block booking at the Walnut Tree Inn based on its reviews and extremely reasonable prices. Having just stayed for my first week, I couldn't be happier with my decision to make the block booking. The hotel is warm, friendly, has lovely decor and very clean! My room rate included breakfast which...

Lovely old pub in the countryside, family run.Sunday lunch was very good. Apart from traditional Sunday lunch, a wonderful full menu with lovely vegetarian options. Service good and great jazz as we ate.

The room was tiny and the loo looked liked it had been used and not cleaned!! It overlooked a mainline and trains were passing every 10 mins or so it seemed. The plumbing was very noisy sounding like a bomb blast!! On the plus side the staff were friendly and the food was good.

Stayed here with a group of work colleagues in May The hotel was mostly good, the highlight definitely being the food though, it was very tasty and all the men agreed (they liked my choice of hotel that I sprung upon them!) There was ample parking and wifi to use, despite being so close to the railway there was very...

Vey small room, overlooking the railway line so very noisy throughout night with lots of rattling and the whole room shaking. Bathroom was large but grubby with age-mildewed seals and the chrome of the shower frame was rusty. Bed was comfortable, but due to size of room I had to inch my way round end of bed to use bathroom...

We stayed for one night on route to skegness. After a long drive we were welcomed at reception. Our room was very comfortable. The restaurant and bar had a lovely atmosphere and the staff went the extra mile to make sure our food and beverages were just what we wanted and more. Nothing was to much trouble. Location a little...

Stayed here for one night during BTCC weekend, just a few miles from Silverstone. Easy enough to find once I traveled through the village. On the outskirts, nothing else nearby. Check in was simple and quick. Single room with a single bed above the kitchen, so kitchen extractor was noticeable. Room clean and tidy. Booked evening meal in the bar...

Stayed for one night as I am working in the area. Room was cosy and comfortable bed, plenty of plug sockets! Set in the countryside, the hotel has good amenities, excellent wifi and good service. Breakfast was excellent with a full English as part of the price. Would definitely come again.
