I arrived at Pinfold cottage for a family weekend and was confused to begin with as the sign said 'B&B' but soon realised I'd reached my destination. The key was in the key safe as promised, the house was warm on entering and the little lobby was full of leaflets, maps and general information for everything in and around the...

This place had everything we asked for and more. If its pissing down which can happen in the U.K. lots of video games and board games. Roger was very pleasant because we got caught up in some lousy traffic and were late for the key pick up. Overall a greaty polace to stay to see the city of York and...

A really lovely gem of a cottage in a brilliant location for visiting York and surrounding areas. The holiday let has everything you need, and if you find you do need something Roger and Nicky are only too happy to help. The three double bedrooms are beautifully decorated, roomy and comfortable, plenty of storage and each with its own bathroom;...

Stayed here for a Driving experience weekend not far from the Pinfold Cottage October 2015. We arrived on a Friday (earlier than the check in) but the owner was happy to let us in early! The owner welcomed us and quickly left us to do our own thing after giving us the information on breakfast. We went up to the...

Cute cottage, well presented, more than welcoming. We had a small bedroom- just right for 2 days. Lovely breakfast and some great pubs in walking distance. Bus stops/ direct routes from just outside the cottage that goes straight into the city with no fuss. Perfect!

Lovely cottage on the south side of the City, within easy access (drive or bus) to the city centre. Comfortable room, with modern en suite makes Pinfold Cottage an ideal place to stay when visiting York. Extremely good staff, who were on hand to answer any questions you may have. Lovely looking cottage, we had a lovely well equipped room at the top of the stairs which was to the rear of the cottage. Didn't experience and road traffic being on the back as some people have mentioned about the front rooms. There are a few parking spaces that are adequate for the number of rooms. Nice and clean en...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Pinfold Cottage is a pretty 19th Century property, built circa 1865 and that has been sympathetically restored and decorated. The holiday cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 doubles and 1 twin. All 3 rooms are fully ensuite. There is a modern fully equipped kitchen/dining room, and a lovely, comfortable living room. All 3 bedrooms have flatscreen TV's with freeview, hairdryers, and radio alarm clocks. There is an iron and ironing board should you need one. FREE wireless internet is also available. In the kitchen you will find all the basics such as washing up liquid, salt & pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, cling film and tin foil and there will be fresh milk in the fridge. On arrival you will find a yummy hamper, full of local goodies. We welcome children, and there is a travel cot and a highchair for you to use, along with board games, toys and an xbox (please bring your own games). We are close by to great pubs and restaurants, all within a few minutes' walk. So if you don't want to go back to the City centre, there's plenty of choice for dinner nearby. ... more   less
