My wife and I stayed here for just the 1 night. Did everything it needed to. We were welcomed on arrival and taken to our room. The room was really small but at least it had an en suite and shower. Although a small room, it was clean and tidy and as we were only using the room to sleep...

This was recommended to me by people I work with. We stayed 2 nights. The room we had was a little small, but the reality is we were barely in the room, except to sleep at night. I was a little concerned that we were so close to the railway line but we never heard it.There are tea and coffee...

Warmest of hosts, David and Carolyn were just the nicest, Ben their son was fine and the whole family made it a wonderful experience, could not recommend enough. Room was spacious yet quiet and breakfast was second to none. Great location, offering city amenities with country benefits. Love York and love this place.

Very friendly host Brian who made us most welcome. Had 1st floor room -very quiet and comfortable. Good choice at breakfast. And good parking facilities which is rare in York.Crook Lodge is in an excellent place - a 10 minute walk across the park to the centre and fab places to eat on Bootham itself.

Two couples just returned from a long weekend in York, we wanted accommodation where we could leave the car and walk into town. Crook Lodge was perfect for this, the car park is small and would have to move cars around to let others out if needed, but we didn't want to use the car until we drove home, so...

We have now stayed at the Crook Lodge on our last two visits to York. The latest visit being last week. Brian is a great host, and very helpful. The rooms are very clean, the beds are very comfortable, and guaranteed a good nights sleep. The breakfast really sets you up for the day, great selection, you will not be disappointed....

We have stayed at Crook Lodge for several years now and have always enjoyed the "cosy" feeling of our room, and appreciated the welcoming manner displayed by Brian during our stay. It is also a great advantage to be able to park our car safely off the road (not often possible with York guest houses) and to have only a...

Great location for short stroll to the main attractions, either through the lovely Museum Gardens, or more directly to the Minster. A very pleasant host in Brian, and excellent breakfasts...ideal preparation for a long day's walk. Recommended.

My husband and I stayed for two nights in June. It was a race weekend so we were lucky to be able to book somewhere at a reasonable price, with parking so close to the city centre. When we arrived we were able to park our car outside the front of the B and B and Brian helped us with...

The owner was away during our stay but the lady looking after the guest house was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was bright, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and filling. A great choice and I would go back.
