We have stayed here several times before and have just returned, infortunately aĺl three of us were poorly with stomach cramps and sickness after dining out on friday evening. Tony and Pam supplied us with bottled water and Pam bless her went to the chemist at 9am saturday morning for medication to help our symptoms. We were overwhelmed by their...

We stayed here again in November as we had booked to see a show at the Opera House.Pam and Tony are great and very welcoming. Lovely room at the rear ('Russet room') which overlooks the car park and garden beyond which is the railway which is great as I love trains. Just to dispel anyone's fears it's not noisy and...

My default choice for visits to York. I travel by train and the property is very easy to reach on foot from the station. An easy 10 min walk in to the city center once you have checked in to your warm and comfortable room after being greeted warmly by your host. An incredibly friendly place which, not surprisingly, gets...

Really friendly, good breakfast, clean and welcoming. Ideal location for walking into town and exploring York. Easy parking a definite plus. Will visit again. Might avoid the crowds next time by choosing a weekend when the Christmas fair isn't on! 😀

I stayed in this B&B for 2 nights. A warm welcome was given by the host, Tony. He recommended some nice restaurants to me and guided me with the map of the City. Even helped me to move my heavy baggage to the 3rd floor. (Luckily the couple do regular exercises and strong enough to help, thanks) Good wifi connection....

Excellent property within walking distance of railway station and city centre. Free parking is also a bonus. We had a family room which had bunk beds off the main bedroom - great for children. Pam, Tony and Jade were very accommodating and friendly. Superb breakfast too. Photo on this site at time of writing just shows car park - yet...

The rooms are to a very high standard and breakfast is fab, also parking is free and at the back of the house. Nothing is a...

If you are planning a trip to York and want somewhere to stay, we would highly recommend the Apple House. Pam and Tony are warm and welcoming hosts. Their lovely 3 storey georgian house is located about 10 minutes walk from the centre of York City. We brought our (well behaved) dog Shirley with us and it was great to...

I spent three nights here recently and would not hesitate in recommending it. I was wonderfully looked after. The room was warm, comfortable and had everything I needed ; the breakfasts were filling and tasty. However, what really remains with me is the genuine warmth of the hospitality and the kindness and consideration I was shown. It's also ideally located,...
