This is a great place to stay, the rooms are nice and clean, we had a great view over the river, very close to the Kings Arms which is a great pub. We turned up on the wrong day and they changed it over for us which was nice. Good breakfast in the morning

We went to York with the intention of being out and about and only needing a place to put our heads. For this, The Queens Hotel is perfect. It right in the centre of the city so you're close to everything it's basic but clean and very friendly. The staff were delightful which is something that I appreciate. If your...

The staff were very good and the food lovely. The location is excellent and parking is available. The only thing that lets the hotel down is that it could do with a good clean down and redecorated it's about overdue by about ten years.2 minutes from the main shopping area and stacks of good pubs. A bit prices at nearly...

I had a problem a self inflicted one when I checked in , this was sorted out very well by the reception staff despite me being quite hard. This hotel specializes in taking bus parties so be ready for loud noisy guests avoid room 4 as it is right next door to the dining room and bar. Also avoid using...

Spent a 2 day break between Xmas and New Year at the Queens hotel. Very clean, spacious room. Room with a view, directly over the River. Located centrally - easy to access all attractions in York. Had bed and breakfast. Breakfast buffet and was excellent. Just lacked a coffee machine to dispense lattes etc. as was limited to normal coffee....

Stayed a couple of days on a wowcher offer, ideally located on the banks of the Ouse, and two minutes from the town centre, 7 mins from the Minster, and the Yorkshire Museum. Hotel breakfast was good, free WiFi,£10 per day parking fee. Good value for money 😊

Excellent hotel. Rooms very good. Secure parking available for a daily fee. Full English one of the best I've had, kitchen will do poached or fried eggs to order if you don't want the scrambled on the buffet. Evening meal well worth having, better than some of the restaurants in the area.

Ok hotel. A bit dated. Needs refurbishing Chips on the enamel of the bath tub, shower curtain needed to be either replaced or washed. Breakfast was a tad boring, not exactly a 'continental' breakfast, though for the few days we were there it was tolerable and almost edible. Expensive for what it was (I suppose they can charge what they...

Decided to get away at New Year for a change and we love York. Choice of hotel was very good for the above reasons. Staff were excellent and the one meal that we did have there was very nice. Having been to York about 12/15 times before, this was the closest we have stayed to the city centre and would...
